When your talking to a guy you like, and you approve of him, do you take out your cellphone, to give him a sign to ask you for your number, or to exchange information?...eventhough your both still engaged in the conversation?

So your both talking, great conversation, blah blah blah, you take out your phone, place it really high at your eye level, act like your doing something on it, but still chatting it up with him, and interested to do so.

And if so, what are hoping for him to say: "lets exchange numbers", "here take my number", or "hey let me get your number"?

I have never heard of such...

If a woman decides to converse with you for more than 30 secs and she's smiling, nodding, and "participating" beyond "just being nice", then that's a dead giveaway to ask for the number yourself!

Call me old-fashioned, but I do believe that men have their jobs and a woman has hers. The guy should/NEEDS to initiate. Of course every situation is different, but the guy needs to at least make the girl feel like her time is precious and valuable enough to want to continue the convo again by asking her for her number. That's not setting yourself up to be shot down, that's confidence! And if she's confident as well, then she will happily oblige.

Obviously, you're [both] interested and some women, especially the ones who get hit on ALOT, will not do or say anything even tho they do feel a connection. Some just get off on the attention!

But the question you asked is not very realistic in my book. A man will definitely set himself up for rejection more times than a woman can count. So, I don't see a woman doing the cell-phone exercise, we're too busy looking sexy and trying to sound cute.

Just pay attention! Then make your move...

Well... I've done it. Basically it means we want you to ask for our numbers. A couple of times I've done that, the guy just looked at me and ask if he could use it, and other times, they just take the phone from me and put their numbers in it. But yeah. We do that sometimes.

Yeah I freak'in hate that. They pretend to talk on the phone and no ones there. I think it is a sign they are not interested rather than the number exchange thing.

I'd have to say that's a backward way of doing it, far better to be honest and just say, "hey give me your number." But, yes I do know other girls who do or have done that or something simuilar.

haha.. i've seen other girls do this before. i think its dumb..lol. they are just trying to act like they are not that interested in you, like they got other stuff to check up on.. and that you are sorta an after thought... so it would get you to try to demand their attention more. In addition, they might want you to give them their cell phone number, or say, "hey can i get your number?" .. then in this case if you too pull out your cell they can check out your gadget.
