I would call ahead in the matter of food and what not. But a bottle/basket of wines cheeses and crackers, or just wine for the accountant is appreciated i would imagine.

Not necessairily. My ex is an accountant and nothing was expected of our guest. After all, they pay us. If you still feel its necessary perhaps a bottle of wine or flowers for the hostess. Have fun at your party.
