God does not specifically talk about Marijuana in the bible. The only biblical references that would apply would be those which address drugs in general.

I found an interesting site regarding drugs and the Bible. The title of the article is "Drugs and the Bible: E, Shrooms, Cocaine, Crack, Marijuana." I remember reading similar material years ago that was very informative.

I asked my pastor this, and he says that the use of marijuana is considered a sin only because it's illegal. I don't remember the verses he quoted, but basically true Christians are not supposed to break the law. I'm assuming that it means you can smoke up if you're in Amsterdam.

(please dont judge my answer unil you read the whole thing, this goes with the people saying its only bad because its ilegal)
Marijuana isnt bad for you. Its only illegal because Harry Anslinger
(head of treasury in 1930s) was having his multibillion industry threatened, so he appointed his nefew as head of dangerous drugs and narcotics, secret meetings were held to try to find a way to make one of the worlds best resources out of the way. Eventually the made a movie called "reefer madness"(look it up on google video[not on youtube]). All it did was tell lies to trick the naive americans into teahing thier children not to, and so on. America has been suffering eversince. in the 1920s it was predicted that all car fuil would be run an hemp, but those greedy bastards had to go and screw up everything for america. if you realy care go to norml.org (gives many facts of benifits of marijuana + pro-legalization of marijuana) if you have any questions or would like to know some helpful info when chosing where you stand you can email me (yahoo, if you scan these please dont delete my comment for this) nirvana270793@yahoo.com
if we ever want to make a natrual resource that was falsly accused of wrong doing we must make our voices heard (norml.org, ect.. email me if you want to know ways to stand for justice, [also sory if you dont care for politics but he can realy help, as he is the only presidential candiday that will talk about the taboo subject, due to fear of not getting elected Ron Paul, you can go to ronpaul2008.com]
Its a plant not an evil drug (also can be used to replace 10-20% of potentialy addictive and costly medications)

Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

The word that is translated "sorcerers" is the greek word "pharmakeus". It is the root of our English word "pharmacy". The pagan religions used mind altering substances as a way to commune with the spirit world. ( Which is very real). Since mind/ conciousness altering substances are doorways to the demonic realm, their use is condemned by God.

That our bodies are a "temple" means that we are a place where the Spirit of God dwells. But how can He work through you if you are stoned?

Smoking is indeed sinful activity because it violates 7 Biblical principles......

1. Chemical addiction - Smoking has chemicals in it that make it many more times addictive than heroine or cocaine. According to Jesus we cannot have anything else master over us but God. (Genesis 4:7, Matthew 6:24, Luke 16:13)

2. Bad for your health - If God created the human body which he called "good" (Genesis 1:31), why would you pollute it? If you got your kid a nice bike for his birthday, how would you feel if you later saw him leaving it lying around in the mud and rain and not taking care of it?

3. Setting a poor example for unbelievers - How can people glorify God by your example (Matthew 5:16, 1 Peter 2:12) when you are engaged in improper activity?

4. Setting a poor example for believers - How are we going to be mutually encouraged by each others faith if we are engaged in sin?! I am offended enough every time I smell someones 2nd hand smoke but to smell it coming from a believer?!?!?!?!!?

5. Setting a poor example for kids - But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. -Matthew 18:6

6. Using the resources God gave you for no good purpose - Smoking wastes money (Matthew 25:14), time, and your health. (things we can all use more of) Since God gave us resources, we need to use them to further the Kingdom, not live life the way we want.

7. Continuing in sin - Given the hundreds of times i have talked to smokers; deep down people know that it is wrong and is therefore SIN. If you continue to do that which you know is wrong you are allowing sin to rule your life.

Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me. -Psalm 199:133

For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace. -Romans 6:14

God didnt say anything. Jesus was bathed in hemp oil. God said that you can only use something in moderation - that is, not affecting your ability to judge or react responsibly and the same goes for alcohol.
