This should pop up in your security clearance screening and yes it could get you kicked out of DEP and kept from enlisting at all. You should have disclosed this to your recruiter right???? They do run a credit check on you in the process and 7 months of no payments is bad all the way around. Tell the truth now and ask for a waiver before it is too late after they find it on their own. You cannot hide anything from the military, we find everything eventually.

This won't affect your getting into the military. As long as you were honest with your recruiter, this can be wiaved if it is still an issue before you are sworn in. If it isn't taken care of, it can affect your security clearance and/or your advancement.

If you pay off your cards before you ship out to Boot Camp they will not bother you if you gaff them off and they find out that you are in the military they will dune you through your CO, you don't want that to happen, and attach your pay. Also this will effect any security clearances that you go for as it shows on your service record as a potential risk.

So my Advice to you would be the same I gave to my guy's when I was in and to my ex wife when she was in the same trouble you are. Take care of this before you ship out.

it MAY cause problems with you getting a clearance, but as long as you are current by the time you ship, you shouldn't have a problem enlisting.

If you get this corrected Before your entry date it should not effect you.
