So I'm at a bar with a few friends, and I decide to go hit on a chick, she's a little heavy and not the most attractive thing, but I had a nice buzz going and I figured what the heck. Anyway she was digging me and agreed to take me back to her place but my female friend from work talked me out of leaving with her. She told me that I was too good for that girl and basically told me that I would regret it in the morning. She made me feel like I was doing something wrong so I didn't go home with the heavy girl. Why did my friend do this? There were no other cute chicks in the bar. None of my guy friends would ever talk me out of nailing a chick regardless of her condition.

The problem is that our sobriety is often inhibited under the influence of drugs. Becuase you had partaken in the American practice of drinking to get drunk, your friends most likely questioned the validity of your choices, along with the girl in question.
However, the main problem should be how your lack of etiquette could have offended the girl, who you only demeed to talk to becuase no one else was worthy of your lofty standards.
