Monotheism is an old idea.
It appeared in Ancient Egypt ad was particularly flourishing during the reign of Tutankhamen, who forbade the worship of all but the sun god, which he deemed to be the one true God.
The Persian cult of Ahura Mazda was also monotheistic.
Today, the Baha'i and Sikhs are also monotheistic. Both subsist in Iran and India, respectively.
Technically, certain sects of Hinduism are monotheistic, because while they recognize many Gods, they ultimately believe all Gods are emanations of Brahman.

Judaism, especially in it's mystical forms, recognizes a female aspect to YHWH, called Hochma (translated in the Greek as Sophia, wisdom). (1) The Qur'an mentions Allah and two goddesses that Muhammad prostrates to - polytheism. Christianity as originally systematized (at the Nicene council) is trinitarian, and thus henotheistic - one god seen in different ways. Hinduism is also henotheistic.
Vaishnavism and Shaivism could both be seen as monotheistic.
