Since their primary base is hot peppers, vinegar and salt, I would say they last for eternity.....I have had a restaurant size bottle of Tabasco for about 15 years, and although it's turned a bit off red, it's "still hurts going in and hurts coming out....." Enjoy!!!

If you've opened it and not refrigerated it and it has tomatoes in it, throw it out. If it is just hot peppers, they help preserve themselves, and you are probably okay for a week or two.
If you put it in the fridge after you opened it, should be good for a minimum of six months.

I have had some Habenero Tabasco in my cabinet for over2 years and I still eat it on my eggs a few times a week!!!

Your hot sauce is inexpensive, chuck it and buy new. Try Tiger sauce. It is really good on most everything.
