I have lost some codecs with the latest updates. Many thanks for any help given, as I am a novice at this game.

Good Grief!!!! You actually want WMP 10???? I spend a great deal of my time trying to keep it well away from my PC. Absolute piece of dross. Like IE8, 9, 10 - Outlook Express, various other bits of ****-head Microsoft coding, stay away from it!! K-Lite Codec Pack is a freebie. It will run all the films and music you want. Put me upside down in a jar or boiling oil before I have anything to do with WMP 10.

I think if you delete WMP11. WMP10 will replace it
