When I do sit ups, does it build more muscle if I go all the way to the ground and come back up or go about 3/4 of the way down, stop in mid air, and go back up?

Best is crunches. If you do sit-ups, you're using mostly momentum and back muscles.

To do crunches, flex your ab muscles and put your hands on your chest. As you flex you will raise your upper body for like 5 or 10 inches from the ground but the back of your abs should be touching the floor. Hold it for 3 seconds then go down. Repeat.

The best way 4 fast good results is laying on the floor bside ur bed and place ur legs/feet on top of ur bed u know (helps the upper abs) 2] do the bicycle with ur legs and do crunches alternating to each side 3] lay on the floor and put ur legs in the air and push up like ur stomping into the air but push up with ur stomach 4] lay on ur side, legs bent and crunch n2 the air. Do about 50 or how ever more of these each night for a couple of wks, it worked for me

K the most important thing to keep in mind is: Quality not quantity. Full complete, and smooth sit ups. I tuck my toes under a couch, bend my kness and take one elbow to my knee. Touch it then do the other side. Sounds like a New Years resolution? I'm struggling to control my spending-- God help us both to reach our goals! Good Luck
