We all know we have illegals here and there is noway we are going to get rid of them if you think we are you are delusional. In the mean time we get the good the bad and the ugly.

If we tell the truth our ansectors took this land from the Indians right so we are all kind of immigrants. I know I am going to be bashed for this opinion but you know that they say we all have one. Anyway if we ignore this problem it is only going to get worse we set the illegals up to steal lie and cheat the system to become criminals and the weaker ones become targets of crime because they do want to get deported.

How bad could it be at home if you are willing to give it all up to lie cheat steal keep your head low and pray you are not discovered and deported? They are getting welfare anyway why not make this citizens and let them pay taxes like the rest of us? OK kill me now lol,.

Anybody got any suggestions besides deport them all that one ain't working.

We all agree we have laws in place and my point is that it is not working. The question is what can we change to make a difference? We can stay on the path we are on and it will not change. We can say don't feed them don't school them. Unfortunately we have greed mongers in this country who will exploit cheap labor. Maybe we should deport the ones who want to take advantage of the cheap labor what ya think?

Hate it or not we are descendants of immigrants unless of course you are American Indian but that is beside the point isn't it. And it is not just illegal immigrants that shoot kill rape steal that can be good ole American girls and boys as well. We as Americans also do all of the above as well.

I am not saying I think that behavior is right for anyone to do all I am saying is let's not stereotype all illegal
immigrants. I would not be happy if anyone killed my loved one accident or not.

But I do not think that ALL illegal immigrants are thieves drunks loafers or murderers.

Do I think they are breaking the law yes. Do I think our present law is working no. We can sit around all day and night and complain and tell others to get off their butts and get to work and we know that ain't going to happen. So we have a plan how to carry it out and no we cannot shoot anyone.

So really your point of the Indian Thangy is, well, boring really. Point is, whoever has the land, uses and controls it ...get's it. That's the way of the world all across the planet, since the dawn of human history.
So, the USA got control ...however they did it. WE now are about to lose it without firing a shot. If we don't shag these homeboys back to wherever they came from soon, the Party is pretty much over.

You yourself may not mind them becoming your neighbors but enough of us perhaps know more about these folks ( or have taken the time to find out) than you do. You may feel differently if/when you or a family member is raped by one or killed in a car accident by one, or shot innocently as one gang member shoots to control his drug turf at another gangster ...and kills one of US in the process.

It's bad policy to give someone a freeby when they break the law. What kind of message does that send? "Sorry your honor, I robbed the bank. Will you set me up with a small stipend and bank account now? I mean you let the illegals in and gave everything to them, why not NOW to me. I really need the help and I'm and American citizen?"

Whateve happens, these people are not going to be welcomed here and there will be long, hard times for ALL OF US if the fools in Washington try that approach.
Truly, the best thing Wahsington can do is drag this out as long as possible, and they are doing just that. More cheap labor, more influx more accomodations to the illegal and ultimately the liars, cheats, robbers and thieves will get what they want ...and the rest of us will lose ...BIG TIME.

We could start deporting them. Of course, we won't be able to get them all, but maybe if we deport some, the rest will realize that they will eventually get caught. Cut off their welfare. Don't hire them for any job, no matter how menial. But, absolutely, do not reward them by making them citizens. You have to make them work for that. Giving them citizenship after they have already broken the law is crazy. That will just encourage others to come. Let them know that they have to live by our laws.

When I was growing up, I lived in the projects with my mother who was too proud to go on welfare (we're both birth-citizens, if it matters). All my neighbours that were on welfare were legally there, whether in the country on visas or, more commonly, lazy birth-citizens with a sense of entitlement.

Anyway, to have access to welfare, one needs to have social security numbers. Stop the source of the fraudulent documents and you stop the source of their supposed welfare fraud. That should keep Homeland Security busy for a while.

Once a former welfare recipient has worked for one solid year make available training at the college level for those who qualify (sat, act testing etc).

Illegals will leave for lack of housing and employment. The worst offenders in the private sector who made their profits off the backs of the illegals will be forced into receivership. This frees up the money wasted fighting them entering our country, eliminates programs that reward sloth and laziness and helps improve our economy.

Within a few months many of the illegals would be gone and within a decade we will have recovered much of what we've lost.

Please no nasty remarks...we truly are in a crisis.....I would like to see some truly thought out soloutions that do not mention deportation. This situation is totally out of control...We do not have the manpower and economic funding to do mass deportations I say....No amnesty.....no path to citizenship......Implement work programs with 6 month visas renewable each year...This is essence would share the love in Mexico...... 6 months here and 6 months at home with another crew replacing the crew going back home... we would have a steady resource of human labor......It would cut the amount of our Mexican immigrants in 1/2 each time those crews are switched ........Request that employers that benefit from the workers labor implement health care programs for them which are government subsidized........not government funded that way the federal government who also benefits from them being here would share the burden with the employer who in essence has these people in modern day slavery

Employers will be less likely to hire someone who does not have a valid work permit....why risk it when they have available labor who have permits.?

The United States actually did that a while ago...giving all illegal immigrants legal status....it didn't help anything then and it won't help anything now. I think our government needs to really start putting their foot down and deporting illegals I think that is the only way to make people think more seriously about coming to the U.S. illegally.

I am not an immigrant. what happened when ancestors took this country was many many many years before I was even thought of.

I had nothing to do with it and it is history. I am not immigrant and find it offensive that people say we come from immigrants.

I have to agree with most of the answers you have received already. Denie them jobs, housing, welfare and they will either become real crooks or they will leave.

We provided them jobs by moving industries to Mexican border towns, but the local government did not provide housing or a meaningful environment to work so they lost those jobs to Asia . One thing we do not want to do is make a United North America. That would be Canada, USA and Mexico without any borders. Who would pay for the corruption in Mexico then. Mexico needs another revolution in order to bring order out of the choas.

We jsut cant allow everyone who wants to come here to sneak into our country. We have laws for a reason and until they are changed we need to enforce them. Most people do not want to be paying for them to get medical care and an education. I understand that they are hard working and doing jobs that others dont want but we have a worker Visa program that they can apply for. We really cant pick and choose what laws we want to follow and which ones we want to ignore.
