I totally have a collar obsession!!! I'm out of control! I have rubbermaid totes in the garage FULL of collars. A separate one for leads too. I even organize the collars. I have four dogs and hundreds (no joke) of collars. I am in love with dog boutiques. You find the best collars there and online. I hate plain nylon collars. LOL! I've turned into a collar snob. This obsession started when I was young. When we'd go to the pet store I'd talk my mom into buying more collars. My favorite are leather. I do like the lupine collars. I think my pattern of choice is the Cows. I've had that set for...10 years? I also am a big fan of Up Country Inc. collars. You have to check them out. I know I will never stop buying them. I am always on the lookout. One of my all time favorite collars is a Swiss import collar. It is brown leather with cows riveted on it. You can search that one, too. My GSD is wearing it currently. I actually need to put their Up Country Christmas collars on. They normally have them on by now.
Oh, I just remembered the martingales. Gotta have good martingales to walk the dogs.

I know what your saying. I have collars galore also and leashes. I have a crate collection. It doesn't end with the dogs either. I have tons of halters for horses and stuff. You just never know which halter or dog collar will look on a particular color. I'll switch it up! I never give anything away when it comes to the animals. Thats the only thing that makes me a pack rat, is the animals.

No.. not so much with collars... but I have a horrid crate addiction.

Last time I moved I had 26 crates to dispose of and only *2* dogs!!! (of course I also handle and train other's dogs so there is a bit of an excuse).

Now I had 4 dogs and I think 12 crates.. but I'd have to dig through the garage to be certain....

Edit: Bassetnut, that's what I did with them last time... gave a couple to rescue and the rest to friends (for some reason rescue didn't want my puppy crates or the BIG crates I have for the Bernese)

Dog Addict- I live in fear of bringing my partner to his first Bernese Mtn Dog national. I just KNOW he's going to want to buy one of those big wide beautiful leather collars http://www.alpenschatz.com/collars.htm with a bell http://www.gundogsonline.com/dog-bells/swiss-dog-bell.html

Edit: I Wanna be a Newf.. don't forget to get the matching leash.... seriously... you won't regret that style of leash (even if you don't get the cool stuff on it)

Wow.

I have 1 collar my dog wears all the time, and one collar I bought but didn't like that much. I've been looking at the lupine collars (they are SO cute) and telling myself I can't buy one because there isn't too much wrong with the one she wears now, and I wasted my money on the other one.

But after hearing how many collars you have, I feel like I should just go for it!

I want to get the surf pup pattern. It's the 1" purple wave pattern.

I know what you mean! I love halters, tags, bells, sweaters, crates, cool leashes, and everything dog. I'm glad there is another person like that out there.
WM just had those cute little collars with the crystals on them that spell out DIVA and LOVE this year. I bought new no-pull halters at the farm supply store this year too and had to put bells on them for Christmas. And of course, we have to have matching leashes.
And crates!crates! crates! We have about 10 of them and rarely use them unless someone visits. We are also big into shedding combs, blades, brushes, bows, etc.

I don't collect collars for my dogs because they don't wear collars.

I go to dollar tree and get different leashes they have some neat leashes.

I don't collect collars because my dogs don't wear collars they were harnesses.

I try to collect show leads toy swivel lead.

I have 5 crates in all 1 collapsible foldable crate, 1 kennelcab, 1 wire crate and 2 vari kennels.

I collect the dog purse like things. I have about 5 of them. But when I go to a dog show I sneak my dogs in the crate and sneak them into a store, I will not leave them in the car.

You haven't seen my collection of different brushes, combs, shears, scissors..ect.. You can never have enough grooming tools!! ROFLOL

I keep buying collars all the time. The only problem is that I wear mine. I don't think it's weird though. I think the matched sets are cute too and if I had the money I would own I don't know how many dog collars.

I didn't think I was, until I looked into the drawer to pull out my dog's "holiday collar" and saw the other three collars already in there. And then I went to the store and was looking at holiday collars. And to my husband's comment of "She already has a holiday collar" I replied, "But it's last year's!"

::blink::

As for shoes... I'm not a shoe person, anyway. ;)

What does worry me, though, is my recent fascination with "collar charms"...

"Hi, Wannbe a Newf!" ::grin::

GUILTY! Totally the same way... I sit behind a computer screen all day, so internet shopping is my addiction. I can no longer justify to my fiance buying for myself, so I have turned to some heavy-duty buying for my pups. Harnesses, collars, leashes, couplers, everything under the sun. Their stuff is taking over our living space!

I have bought the Lupine collars for my dogs who are no longer being shown. They are really cute.
However - I have a LOT more shoes than collars. I find it a bit weird that you care more about your dogs than yourself.
