She is having her first Christmas without her mother, her second without her dad. Her father passed last year, and her mother back in this passed September. Her mother had a massive heart attack. Her older half-sister is having cancer. My friend says her sister is doing alright, but still, cancer's a big deal.
I'm fortunate enough to be able to go to my former resident area to see her, but I'm not sure if I can be a big enough help to cheer her up. I know what kind of things she loves doing, so we'll do that. I've known her for 12 years, and recently adopted each other as sisters.
I was wondering if anyone will please pray for her, that she gets through Christmas as well as she can, and something will come along to brighten her New Years now that I'm so far from her?
Thanks a bunch, and I'll more than gladly return prayers for you as my way of thanking you.

To let everyone know up front, if there's any thumbs down, they DID NOT come from me!

yes, i will pray for your friend, i know that this must be really hard for her, only time will heal her pain, but the love from a good friend as yourself, can definitely help the process along, even if it feels like you can't do any thing for her, just being there is good enough, sometimes thats all someone in that position needs. just be there for her and do what ever she needs to the best of your ability. you seem like an amazing friend. god bless you.

Led Zeppelin vs. The Beatles I'll admit The Beatles might be better than Led Zeppelin. But I enjoy listening to Led Zeppelin more firstly because of Jimmy Page's guitar work. He could constantly come up with a killer riff and solo. Also Bonham is probably in the top three or four best drummers ever. Also, I think Led Zeppelin never went through that "phase" in which a band only writes love song like the early beatles did.

I am sorry that she has lost so much. God can help your friend not matter what day it may be. She needs to remember the good memories of the ones she has lost. I hope her sister with cancer can be comforted with her sickness. I have lost a lot of members in my family, but God has helped me with this. It is still hard at times. You can just be there for your friend and help support her. Just having someone to talk to in these times, is a lot of help. I wish you and your friend a Merry Christmas and God Bless in this need.

Dear Heavenly Father - Thank you for always hearing our prayer requests. I lift this dear person up to you now, and ask that You comfort and strengthen her. She's been through so much in her life and really needs the comfort of your presence. I pray also for the one who posted this question, that You use her to be a source of peace and comfort to her friend. It's in Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

Lovingly,
Virginia

O' Lord God Almighty, You know my prayers before I pray them. You know my words, before I speak them. You know this child is in tears. Lord I ask humbly that You will give her comfort during this time in her life. Father have Mercy upon one who has lost so much at an early stage. Give grace and peace to her heart. I ask humbly in the Holy and Matchless name of Christ Jesus, Amen!

See if she will let you pray with her. That is the best thing you can do is to go before the Lord with this. She has to trust God with her life and all that happens in it.

Start a new tradition, for new memories while at the same time honoring past ones, to signify that life goes on.
