Your one of the legal witnesses to theceremony taking place, so your signature may be required to complete the church certificate of marriage.
You hand over the minister's fee (or however is officiating)...YOU don't pay for it tho, the groom does. You're merely handing the money over.
You hold the ring for the bride during the ceremony until it's needed.
You are the escort for the Maid/Matron of Honor and she walks down the asile on your arm in the bridal processional.
You personally escort both sets of parents down the asile to their seats, one pair at a time, just before the ceremony.
You arrange & host the batchelor party.
You give the official toast to the new couple.
Seems like a lot but it isn't....

Just ask him. Seriously, he won't mind if he's your good friend. Just say, "What do you need me to do?" If he's not sure, ask the bride - she'll probably know exactly what would be most helpful.
My guess is that you are the one to coordinate the bachelor party, but you can share that duty with the groomsmen. Get their contact info from the groom - or the bride if you want it to be a total surprise.
Basically, it can be different for each couple and it's best to just ask. Good luck!

You're supposed to plan a party of some sort, but unless you want WW3, consult the bride first and ask her if there are any restrictions. READ BETWEEN THE LINES.
Find out if it's up to you to hold onto the rings until they exchange them during the ceremony.
You need to think up a toast for the reception.
And you'll be signing their marriage certificate as a witness.

bachelor party, you have to give the speech at the wedding and you have to walk to maid of honor away from the alter. You also are mainly responsable for the man the day of the wedding you have to make sure that he has everything that he needs from his clothes to the vows to the rings, try your best to keep him on his toes on the big day.

Pretty much you help him with whatever he needs help with. You will be the one to pay anyone that needs to be paid at the wedding, including tips (the groom should give you marked envelopes of money for whoever needs to be paid), you plan the bacholor party, and hold the rings at the ceremony.

I really don't know anything about this except that you carry the ring to the altar and you have a speech, but i hope this website may help you out.
