ohhh Ive exercised too much. Im in an area of work that requires intense physical fitness. When I was being selected for this job my selecters punished me physically and mentally for 14 hour days on a good day. Seriously 14 hrs straight. start with 6 mile run. then calisthetics. carrying heavy things people or cut down trees, 5 mile swim, other crazy water stuff. We did this for 10 weeks. At the end of it my body just broke down. Had tons of injuries. There is such a thing as too much exercise however I doubt your trainer is bringing you to that point. The first couple of weeks will leave you busted up but you will get past it if u stick to it.

as far as remedies... well when I was going through the experience above I often went to get massages on the weekend. they are painful but they are worth it. I got 9 hours of sleep a night. I got these rolling therapy things where you lay on them and roll out your legs. Ask your trainer about them. They hurt like crazy but its worth it. I cried when I used them the first couple of times but i eventually got used to it. Lastly i made sure I dymanically warmed up before starting exercise and at the end of the day I did some static stretching for about 30 minutes.

hope that helps

Tell your trainer to ease up at first - you shouldn't even have to if they knew what they were doing. No pain - no gain is just a cliche jarheads use to prove their manhood. There's going to be some pain sometimes, but bad pain everywhere means it's too much too soon. Give your body time to recover - usually 3 to 4 days from hard work outs, take ibuprofen or something and go easier at first to give your body time to adapt to the basic workouts. Then it doesn't hurt as bad when you start working harder. Remember - you're tearing down when you work out and building up with sleep, nutrition and recovery time.

I love that feeling of pain because I know my body is getting worked out!! Try relaxing in a hot bath to relieve muscle pain. Also, how often are you working out? You can over work your body too so be careful

stretch stretch stretch stretch stretch stretch

It's the only way to stay injury free.

When you're done, eat healthy. You're going to want to eat nothing but sugar becasue your body is low but you have to eat your fruit veggies meats and carbs. You have to replace what your body has lost. If you do you will recover much much faster. It also helps to ice down after a hard workout. It constricts the muscle and pushes the lactic acid out of the torn areas. And you're going to want a warm one but that only makes it worse.

comsume alot of protein daily, to heal your muscle fibres. your muscles are sore because of the lactic acid build-up.
you'll also need a couple of days off for recovery.
