independence day is GREAT with good surround sound! i saw it in the theater (twelve years ago!) three times, it was awesome!

Transformers is one of the best for surround sound, LOTR trilogy, Saving Private Ryan, Spiderman and Superman. Xmen trilogy. The best surround sound experiences will be with Action and Scifi movies. Music movies which contain concerts are good too. Conterts themselves are good.
The Eagles, Hell Freezes Over. Pink Floyd, Pulse. The newest Eagles DVD. I don't remember the name but I have it. It sounds really good too. There are sooo many. I could go on all day.

you want an AWSOME MOVIE for surround watch the lord of the rings BUT the extended edition (it's better) !!!!!!!

any of the lethal weapons...especially the tanker scene in lethal weapon 4...star wars....U-571 is also very good...lots of action and bass scenes
