I used my reinstallation copy (from my new PC) to put vista home premium on my laptop which was running XP. So it was running fine on my laptop but after 30 days it makes you enter a license key. It is cheaper to buy an upgrade disc than to purchase an additional license. But it says you cant upgrade from XP to Home Premium. So my question is, since vista is alredy installed on my laptop, wouldnt an upgrade disc give me the license I need (saving me $100), even tho I supposedly "cant" upgrade from my current OS?

Doubtfull, Microsoft usually has several different types of license keys, OEM, Full Retail, Upgrade Retail, Corp. If you used an OEM copy to "upgrade" your computer an Upgrade license will not work. You have to buy the right type of license for the version that is installed.

Linux, by far. Mac and Microsoft will never quit charging you for "new" stuff they arise with. On magnificent of all of it, all of us understand how risky Microsoft application can get to be, which would be a actual soreness in the *** once you're engaged on severe stuff. And Mac... properly, no longer basically is it for babies in spite of the shown fact that it additionally demands particular interest and care while some thing is going incorrect with the device, meaning you need to pay funds each and every time some thing gets ****** up. Linux, on the different hand, is the main good device of the three, it has loose guidance and is likewise loose in each and each way possible. it is basically the dreamed stuff.
