Get them all the same amount, depending on what you are best able to afford. If you get one person a $10 card and another a $20 card, and they find out about it, feelings could be hurt. Better to get $10 for everyone if you can't afford $20 for all.

Many people have already told you this, but I also would say it totally depends on your budget. If you can't afford a lot instead of giving them cash, get gift cards where if you're in a group no one else can see how much the other got. Also, I would say, your BEST friends probably should get the bigger amount while a lesser known friend can receive a smaller amount, but don't FEEL OBLIGATED TO GIVE EVERYONE A GIFT, a card is nice to show that you have thought of someone if you are on a budget too!

Target is a great choice! And $20 is perfect. Thats the amount I try to stay around when I'm getting a gift for a friend.

Don't give gift cards, it's lazy and unimaginative. The whole point of gift giving is to show how much they mean to you, and a gift card says "you're worth between $10 and $20 to me".

Instead, maybe start a goofy tradition like getting goofy Christmas sweatshirts and wear them out.

Sounds like you're stuck in the middle, so why not for $15--- if it's in your budget. I don't know what retailers you plan on purchasing from, but a $10 - $15 should be good for things like coffee, books, movie rentals, etc. Just remember it's the thought. When you think about why you want to do something for someone then you'll want to smile :). Hopefully your recipients will appreciate just being thought off. Happy Holidays!

$10 will do.

That would depend on how many friends and how much you can afford. Sadly you can't get very much with $10 these days but on my budget that'd be my limit!!!!

Its the thought not the gift that will be remembered.

It depends on how many friends you plan on giving them out to and how much you can afford. Stay within your budget.
