In some cases - absoultely. People who deliberately kill or rape should be sentanced to life without parole. Planned murders, rape and child sex offenders should be locked up forever.
I have to say that the USA has the right idea with three strikes. In other countries certain criminals have been known to commit up to 50 different serious offences but they are still given parole.

Since I live in a state (Illinois) where the last governor took every person off death row and gave them all new trials before he went to prison himself, I think violent offenders should not be given the option to live forever. They had no problem killing kids, adults, cops, firefighters, moms and dads. Why should we pay for their meals, beds, cable tv, etc for 30 to 50 years?

I think there should be no parole for a violent crime. Whose to say that they won't do it again?

WELL WE HAVE THAT ALREADY. LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE CAME ABOUT WHEN THEY ABOLISHED THE DEATH PENALTY AS CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT. FERMAN CASE.
NJ JUST ABOLISHED LETHAL INJECTION SO WHY NOT GIVE THEM ALL LIFE WITHOUT. THEN ONCE THEY GET IT MAKE SURE THEY HAVE NO MORE APPEALS INTO THE MATTER AND LET THEM ROT IN PRISON.

If there is no death penalty, yes. Any violent offender should not have an opportunity to re-offend.
