I hear two explanations, one is that humans and dinoasurs existed at the same time... The other is that dinosaur bones were planted in the Earth by the Devil. Which is true... according to Christians of course...

And how do they explain the undeniable evidence of carbon dating, and geology that shows they existed millions of years before we began to evolve?

Humans and dinosaurs never existed at the same time. Not even close.

I can't believe there are actually idiots that can refute this FACT. It just goes to show how stupid Literal Christians truly are. Instead of understanding the true meaning of the bible, you are blinded by the words without understanding the meanings. Take a look at the genius underneath me..."Aint nothing gettin' in the way of my blindfolds!"

Christians who believe in Creation do not accept the carbon dating to be accurate. It is theoretically sound but a theory does not make it a fact. Also, I think they did exist because the Bible speaks of Leviathan which is like a sea dinosaur. Also, I think they died before man did which is why they appear older than man. The first humans according to the bible lived about 800 years! If that were true and dinosaurs life spans were shorter, I could see there being dinosaur fossils before human fossils.

It also depends on why those fossils were formed. Humans have been known to do various things with their dead, where dinosaurs tend to lay where they die. Depending on what was done with the very first human remains, there might not be anything left of them. (complete deterioration)

I also don't believe the scientists have always assembled the animals back together the way they were suppose to either. They have even recanted some of their "Species' because they have realized they put them back together wrong or with bones from other animals.

Since no one was actually there, all either side has is speculation anyway.

You are not talking about Christians in general. You are talking about fundamental literalists, who take every single word of the Bible literally instead of recognizing that much of what comes out of the Old Testament is parables and stories meant to instruct. They don't understand that at the time the Bible was written, they had no longterm concept of time, and had no clue what a dinosaur was. They would have looked at you like you had nine heads if you'd told someone 3000 years ago that there were huge reptiles roaming the Earth billions of years ago. They would not have understood or believed you, and written you off as a lunatic living in a fairytale.

Generally speaking, the average Christian DOES believe that dinosaurs existed as scientific evidence has shown. End of story. You're really poking a big stick to try to make Christians appear like morons when really, it's a very select few that believe what your question is posing.

I am a "Christian" and I believe dinosaurs existed. In the Bible it says that man was created on the 6th day. Are those creation "days" as long as our days now? Are they the same thing? Maybe each day was a thousand years as we now measure time. And so whose to say that dinosaurs weren't created before man stepped foot on Earth.
I don't know the answer of when they were here, but how can you dispute the evidence with all the bones that they are finding and have found.
Yes I believe.

I've never been given a logical explanation for this. In the Bible, it says that the Earth was created in seven days and that man was created before animal and that man ruled over all the animals on Earth. Soooooooo?? If that's the case then where the hell do dinosaurs, which we have proof of, fit in? One Christian told me that dinosaurs were here before mankind but that means that their Bible is lying. How can man be created before animals, rule them, and yet come AFTER dinosaurs?

Brian, You seem to assume that all Christians believe the same things in the same way. Trust me they don't agree on dinosaurs or much else.

Dinosaurs lived at the same time as humans. The reason the term dinosaurs isnt in the bible is the same reason that computers, rockets and many other things we know of today wasnt a word when the bible was translated in 1611. The term dinosaur didnt come about until 1841.

In Job 40:
15 “Look now at the behemoth, which I made along with you;
He eats grass like an ox.
16 See now, his strength is in his hips,
And his power is in his stomach muscles.
17 He moves his tail like a cedar;
The sinews of his thighs are tightly knit.
18 His bones are like beams of bronze,
His ribs like bars of iron.
19 He is the first of the ways of God;
Only He who made him can bring near His sword.
20 Surely the mountains yield food for him,
And all the beasts of the field play there.
21 He lies under the lotus trees,
In a covert of reeds and marsh.
22 The lotus trees cover him with their shade;The willows by the brook surround him.
23 Indeed the river may rage,
Yet he is not disturbed;
He is confident, though the Jordan gushes into his mouth,
24 Though he takes it in his eyes,
Or one pierces his nose with a snare.

This is not desribing any animal alive on earth today and many bible scholars believe it is a dinosaur. The bible also speaks of dragons, as do most ancient civilizations. There are many drawings which show man with dinosaurs that have been dug up in archeology.

Not all Christians believe this or go to the creation museum. I am a christian and I will never go to the creation museum so what is your point. Also, if people want to
believe this, it is really none of your business. This is only a theory and science is based on theories too. For example phlogiston theory. It was later debunked but you did not see Antoine-Laurent de Lavoisier being as critical and mean spirited as you are to the scientists or people of the day. Does not mean it is right it is just a theory. Defintion of a theory: a supposition or a system of ideas intended to explain something, especially one based on general principles independent of the thing to be explained:

Dinosaurs existed before humans. "Devil" had nothing to do with it.
