Most likely they will be in pain the next few days, I was thinking maybe buying a DVD for that person. Or something to eat that is good for the tonsils that you wouldn't normally get. I am curious to know what everybody else thinks. Thank you.

I heard Milk or Milk products, like Ice Cream, are not good for the recovery process. ... no doubt it would taste good, though!

Gourmet ice cream. Like Haagen Daz has mini cartons, you could pick a few flavors, and put a bow and ribbon on each

Ice cream! Ask them what flavor they would like, then go get the best quality ice cream you can find in that flavor. My mother did this for me when I had mine out at 16. I asked for lemon ice cream (not sherbet) and I got it!

A smoothie maker! They are only about $20 - $30 bucks, and they can make all kinds of soothing cold drinks.

DVD would be great.maybe a CD.If they like them cross word and word search books are good.
