I have studied some of the major religions. I have had different people say, "Don't talk to them. They believe..." I have come to find out that you have to listen to someone who is actively involved or a minister from that faith to find what they actually believe.
With Mitt Romney and his Mormon faith in the spotlight right now, I am hearing people call Mormons non-christians. This is contrary to what I have studied. Apparently my definition of a Christian is different than others.
I don't mean to single out Mormonism, but it is the hot topic right now.
So my question is "WHAT IS A CHRISTIAN?" What defines a Christian?

The simple definition of a Christian is one who follows Christ.
The tricky part is that each person is different and, therefore, there will be many interpretations of what it means to "follow Christ."
To some it means believing the whole bible.
To some, it means believing in the gospels.
To some it means following the works of Jesus.
To some it means following Paul's idea of following Christ.
To some it means quietly basking in the wonder of God's creation.
To some, it means holding hate rallies at soldier's funerals.

Whatever it means to the individual, if a person believes in Christ and follows what he/she believes to be the holy footsteps, then, by definition, that person is a Christian.

A Christian must believe that Jesus is the Messiah, that He died and rose again, that He payed the price for our sin, and that He is God-man, the second person of the Trinity. As a Christian one must give Deity to Jesus equal to that of the father. The Mormons do not view Jesus with Deity. This is the very definition of the spirit of antichrist. So, as nice a group of people as I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, they are not Christians.

In simple terms, a Christian is a person who has been born again, whose faith in in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and trusts in His sacrifice on the cross for the atonement for sin. Mormons believe in a different Jesus.. and you have to believe in Jesus as described by the Word of God to be a Christian.

Someone on whom God has bestowed his favor upon. he has drawn them to himself & given the faith (supernaturally)
to "see Jesus". With that God given faith they receive Jesus as there savior & Lord. Upon this devine revilation the Holy Spirit of God comes to dwell within them.

Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Joh 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

If you want to know for sure if God might be bestowing this supernatural faith upon you, get on your knees and say "Lord Jesus come live in my heart" God will let you know if he has drawn you unto himself.
God bless

The mormans believe in a false doctrin, you cannot come to a false Jesus & find salvation.

If you see "Christian" as a good guy, it is one who is orthodox and agrees with most of what the "Catholic" church teaches. If you see them as bad guys, it is one who believes most of what the Catholic church teaches, which therefore are in contradiction to most things that Scripture (YHVH) teaches.
