both Stalin and Mao Tse Tung killed so many more? My best bet is it was because of who he killed, what is yours?
Hitler 10 million
Stalin 20-40 million
Mao Tse Tung 42-63 million according to an investigation headed by Ted Kennedy..
Also Russia (Stalin) took over half of Finland, a little more then half of Poland, all of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and part of Romania. While Hitler, up to that point had only got the smaller portion of Poland.
The wieners write the history.

Yes it was Ted Kennedy around 1973.
Hitler killed 6 million jews if you believe it. NOT 10 million. 10 million is the total till the end of the war for everyone he killed. And as far as Hitler causing WW2 - that is nonsense. Despite what you "learned" in school Hitler in fact wanted peace and offered England a peace proposal where he would withdraw from the conquered western countries so long as he could have his way with Russia. Churchill caused WW2 by not accepting this peace offer. Up till that time it was just a European war. If he had accepted peace there would have been no WW2 just a war in the east. And Hitler's health was so bad - parkinsons disease, heart disease, and an STD he would have died not much later then when he committed suicide With or without Hitler no more war. Stalin also caused WW2 as much as anyone. Totally conquering all of 3 countries, half of two others, and a part of still another. To Hitlers half of Poland

I did not forget the Japanese just no one person has been ID'ed as their killers.
I also don't see what difference if was genocide or not - ask the dead if they think they are any less dead. And Stalin's Gulags were at least as horrible then Hitlers concentration camps. Conditions similar but the gulags were in freezing Siberia.

Because Hitler was a white western european male and were held to higher standards than anyone else. Plus the entire world used him as a scapegoat for everything during that time period.

Good point. I see you neglected to add the Japanese, who did far, FAR worse things than the Nazis during the War. Look up Unit 731 some time.
That having been said, I think we vilify Hitler more than most because unlike your other examples, Hitler was involved in genocide. He went out of his way to try to exterminate an entire group of people. Also, Hitler was much more of an immediate threat to America than Stalin or Mao were.

Stalin and Mao were somewhat more subtle in their atrocities. Pol Pot and a few others might be added to your list. They didn't document their murders as thoroughly as the Nazis.
It sounds as if you are saying the Jews have no right to complain. I disagree with that sentiment.
I am further irked by the revisionist history (not yours) that Mao was a great statesman. He was cold, crass and uncaring for the Chinese people. He just wanted power.

It's because the USA and England were allied with Soviet Union to defeat Germany. Insulting an ally was out of the question.
And I agree with you so much. The Russians are even proud for attacking Finland and killing many innocent people.

It hardly matters why a person is needlessly killed - if someone is ethnically cleansed, he's just as murdered as someone who's starved, overworked or shot by the secret police.
Yes, the wieners really do write history. Wieners or winners? I think it's both cases, actually.

Ok so he murdered 10 million Jews. He also murdered gays, gypsies, political prisoners, not to mention he started the worst war in human history that killed 10 of millions on the Eastern Front alone.

Maybe because the way Hitler killed them. Concentration camps, Gas Chambers, starvation, using babies as target practice. Body swaps. All those things are atrocious.

10 million is the number of Jews that died in his death camps. He starts getting competitive when you add in the others that died when he invaded Poland, Czechoslovakia, France, not to mention all that died in WWII as a direct result.
