I'm not sure if going from friends with benefits to actually trying to make a real relationship out of will work for the long term. You've already shared the most intimate part of yourselves with each other, unless you can keep sharing new expierences together, I don't feel that it will last.
I was best friends with my current boyfriend for almost a year before we dated, we got to know each other and really form a connection, then dated almost another year before sex was even introduced. But nothing can stop a real connection and if you feel something there and you think he feels the same then try to sit down with him and just ask him if he ever thought about it and see what he says. Atleast you'll know where you can take things from there.

stop sleeping with him and maybe stop seeing him.
That's why these friends with benefits situations never work out. Someone develops feelings for the other one and the other one isn't interested in anything more than the sex.
As long as you waste your energy on this friends with benefits thing, you will not look for someone who is available. Maybe that's why you are in this situation. Are you avoiding looking for a real relationship?
I don't know how old either of you are, so I have no way of knowing what you call way younger than you. But that could be another of your problems. You are involving yourself with someone who is not at the level of maturity you want. Young guys (oh who am I kidding?--most or all guys) are all about the sex and aren't going to turn it down especially if you're offering it with no strings attached. Once you start making demands on his time and on his emotions and he's not willing to give, then he will end things for you.

Well, if he's way younger than you this may be considered statutory rape unless you're both above 18 or whatever.
Anyways, I think you guys should talk about your relationship with each other, ask him what he thinks of your relationship and you should tell him the same.

Tell him that you're getting attached to him and ask him how he feels. Prepare yourself in case he says he just likes you for the sex and friendship, but it's possible that he likes you also....then you guys can maybe date.

I'd say that you should just enjoy the banging or else end it. Not gonna work in the long run.
