My cat is pregnant and is getting very big. Is there any way to tell about when she'll have the kittens other than going to the vet?

We will be having her spayed after she has the kittens. And if we can't find good home for them then we will end up keeping them. We love our animals very much. They all say inside, except for our two dogs who go inside and outside. The only people who will probably be getting one will be my parents and my sister... people who I know will care for them.

Nope. And you need to get her spayed after she has the kittens.

Did you know that only 1 in 20 kittens born will see its first birthday in a loving home. The rest will die on the streets of starvation or disease or being hit by cars or killed by other animals. Or they will end up in shelters where they will be euthanized or at humane societies where they will spend the rest of their lives living in a small cage without a bed or love or toys waiting for someone to adopt them.

It takes about 2 months if you know when she meet her mate.

She will start looking for a nest....a place to have her babies.
Fix her a space in a dark place away from where people walk and visit. She will want a familiar place and some peace and quite. Your closet, with some towels and some of the clothes of her favorite person.
Be aware you may need to help her and be there in case she needs you to hold her hand. Alert her vet that the time is coming. Sometimes you can see some milk in her breasts.

Don't bother the kitten for a few days to a week.

Also, consider having her spayed. There are so many cats and dog everyday destroyed because there is no home for them. And her health will be better in her old age if she is neutered.

Good luck

My cat gave birth last year. 5 cute kittens.

What she did was :
like 5-6 hours before she started to give birth she went to her fluffy "house" and stayed there so if you cat disappears for a long time be warned that she might give birth soon
my cat gave birth of the kittens and there was lots of blood and fluids there but she didn't move
but you have to move her and the babies to a clean place
in order to do that put gloves on (because if her kittens don't smell like hers she might leave them) and move the babies to the clean place and she'll go out after them but be careful coz she might attack you! mine did not attack me, but every cat's different

you don't really need to go to the vet coz your cat should be able to do just fine
she might not come out of where the babies are so give her food if she doesn't
the babies will be blind for a week at least so keep an eye on them how she treats them and if they're moving, getting enough food and so on
while they're little and until they learn how to walk properly (it's a very funny process) she'll take care of their "toilet" needs
start giving them kitten food after you see their teeth are big enough and they've started to stop draining their mother :D
your cat might have a problem with her breasts if the kittens suddenly stop drinking milk so I recommend you to have her and the kittens checked by a vet

wish you luck and I hope I helped you

Nope, not really. A typical gestation for a cat is 63 days, so if you know what time she got impregnated then you can pretty much estimate what time the baby kittens are going to come.
Good Luck
