Hi do you know what I get the exact same thing and so did my hubby with his wedding ring we had to get a new one mine was ok at first but its really irritaitng now as I have to wear the ring as its my wedding ring. I have been wearing my engaement ring for years and its fine no redness or itching, I put my wedding ring on and it all flared up its white gold and its real as they are both white gold but I have had a reaction to this ring and is sore and irritated. I looked inside the ring and there is like a but of the ring underneath where the gems are that isnt like polished off, just looks like metal and it isnt shiny and this seems to be where the problem is. I am meaning to take it into the jewellery shop just to see if it is real gold as I am allerigc to any metal that isnt hypoallergenic and I dont usually have a problem with gold.
The other think I was thinking it could be is body lotions or hand cream getting under the ring and burning the skin as my engaement ring moves round as its looser and my wedding ring stays put.
I find that not puttiny any lotions or hand creams on stops it flaring up but as soon as I put them on weather I take my rings of or not it still flares up.
Its not a white gold ring from argos is it as this is what mine is, maybe its not real white gold.

If you wash your hands a lot, the skin gets dry and irratated under some rings. I would suggest you take it off for a few days and apply lotion to the skin. This just happened to me and its also due to wintery dry weather =)

Mine used to be the same. I now make sure that I dry the skin under the rings really well and now it doesn't happen.

yes. you must make sure you dry your hands and undernaeth the ring everytime you wash them. Use a good anti bacterial soap like simple or carex and dry with hot air or soft towel or tissue, keep your rings clean using warm water and gentle soap to kill bacteria and use a moistueriser on your hands before bed and after work

Yes its caused sometimes by soap trapped under it, i make sure i clean my rings every week and dry my fingers under them properly as trapped water can dry your fingers too x

Have you changed your soap or anything?
I can't say I itch under my rings, but the skin is AWFULLY dry.

Yes, and it peels. My rings are platinum, and I still get it. The only time it goes is when I sunbathe and take my rings off.

You should take them off when you wash your hands and then put lotion on. Put your rings back on..you shouldnt have this problem after a while
