I don't think that it would be odd, freaky nor psycho if they wish to send me a gift then I would be happy to recieve it and most of my contacts that I know I talk to on messenger and through email and if any of them wish to know my address all they have to do is ask.

Definitely, odd.
As for Psycho.
Shrunken heads, sex toys, farm animals, a big box or porn, serial killer trading card, those might be give aways that odd has become scary.
Hopefully, that is not your situation.
I don't think it standard for people on Yahoo Answers to exchange gifts, hence the odd, but; odd can be nice if it is done with the best of intentions.

If any one from Y would like to send me a box of chocolates for Christams gift, I would be delighted and not think that they are odd at all. Offering gifts is a nice gesture. If I could, I would give you some chocolate too.

to sunny white- they could easily take a picture of a teddy bear, then stuff a camera in its neck.
i'll have to side with my paranoia on this one. definitley don't accept it. how likely is it that they'd be doing it just for you, and if they were doing it for all their contacts, how likely is it that a person would be that kind or rich, not to crush the hopes of a better world.
but it wouldn't be an event that would change my mind set on her/his personality completley to a freak or psycho. i mean, if i were to offer a gift to you, would that really give you huge reason to block me altogether? it is just over the internet- so it'll stay like that. even if they do fake who they really are, if they seem like a good enough person, keep in touch with them- just not in person, or through antyhing from them.

maybe a safter...and less comotion causing gift would just be to star one question of yours

I don't know... certainly none of the above. It would be something positive, actually, but... nah... maybe it's just me... I just couldn't accept it. I don't know what or why I'd be afraid of. I wouldn't find such thing necessary and would rather prefer to keep in touch forever if possible with the respective aquaintance. Better than everything in the world. To have him/ her there for me, always.

Well, people I am really close to are getting Christmas cards from me. We all felt it was okay to exchange addresses. One person who is special to me is getting a gift from me.
These are people I feel are great friends, not just acquaintances.

if it was someone i was talking to on a regular basic then i would not think it to be odd, if someone just left a comment or just sent a message asking for my address then yes that is freaky

I have received some great gifts from my friends on Y&A! Just cause we never met in person doesn't mean they aren't friends.
