As a liberal and pagan I think I will speak for myself, instead of letting someone group me in with others.
I think Christmas is a great holiday (minus all the commercial junk), I don't mind if someone wishes me a Merry Christmas (or Happy Chanukka for that matter). I am happy when someone wishes me happy tidings, even if they didn't get the religion right.
I teach my kids about Christmas, and it's true meaning. My family celebrates Christmas and I see nothing wrong with it. We even try to limit the commercial aspect of Christmas by giving my children three gifts (like the wisemen brought Jesus) and then giving gifts and money to a charity.
Please don't lump all Liberals in one boat, I wouldn't do that to Right Wingers or Republicans...which is what my husband is=)

i'm hoping they declare warfare quickly and initiate an end to this fake commercialization of all holiday trips. (different than Halloween) something of the time, all of you need to positioned on sack cloth and flow on your place of worship and behave. You who worship the Church of Walmart and all its decorations and the different toys for prosperous human beings shops want a certainty examine. in the tip you may locate out too overdue that 9 x 6 is somewhat 40 two all alongside and you have been dropping some time, chasing a falsehood.

When did we do this? I guess I'll have to take all my presents back to the store, stop delivery on my Christmas cards, have my kids put the decorations in the trash, and tell my church they'll have to find a new soloist because I'm at war with Christmas.
Next time us "liberals" declare a war on something, can someone please fax me a memo?

Why are conservatives so negative, that they HAVE to try, and blame EVERYTHING on the liberals.
I won't even go into that illegal war, that is killing many of our young men and women. not to mention, innocent Iraqis.
.
Good dinner, and presents, and spending good quality with my family.and my friends that have to work get the day off. What is not to like? I love Chrstmas

They haven't.
Big business, government institutions etc have simply decided on the more inclusive "Happy Holidays" in order not to ostracize certain members of the community. Many faiths are celebrating at this time of the year. If you're a shopkeeper, you're better off avoiding christmas signs - unless, of course, you want to lose Jewish, Pagan, Muslim customers etc..

It seemed like a good idea at the time. We were told that the terrorists were wrapping WMD's and putting them under people's Christmas trees. Blame it on faulty intelligence, I guess. John Gibson set us up.

You have to go more left on the spectrum than liberals to make this claim, you are into timfoil hat, lonely, twisted, resentful recluse territory. Sort of like the Unibomber.

Yeah. As an Atheist I say "Happy Christmas" to everyone this time of year. I sing carols and have a great time. Every Atheist I know does this. But...it's much more fun to manufacture a "war" with Faux News so you go on your merry way.
Merry Christmas, btw :)
