ok so im 20 and just wondering if what a guy does for a living changes the way u feel about em or do u block out certain ppl b/c of their job....im an accountant and im good at my job...would my job matter to u? not that it's a big deal just wondering on the answers to this question

What type of job doesn't matter as much as the fact that he has one if he's able to work. I don't think any job is really demeaning, and as long as he works at something I'm happy.

Mostly what a guy does for a living wouldn't change the way I felt about them, certainly there is nothing about being an accountant that would put me off.
I would, however, not be comfortable dating a guy whose job involved something I didn't approve of. I wouldn't date a police officer, for example, as I think the police force (at least in the are where I live) is riddled with dishonesty. For the same reason I wouldn't date a lawyer, I struggle to understand how someone could be comfortable making a living representing a case from one particular viewpoint with no regard for the objective truth. I also couldn't date someone who made a living profitting from someone else's misfortune, such as a pawnbroker. Other than that, no real preferences. I think it's most admirable that you are working hard, and, as you say, good at your job. That's the main thing. Personal qualities are much, much more important than what someone does for a living.

I don't see any problem with dating an accountant. I would like him to be good at his job, whatever he does. I would block some people, however, if I did not respect what he did. I would never date a pharmacist who refused to give women the day after pill, for example.

I'm not going to lie it's not necessarily his job that would have an effect on me ,it's how much he makes that would.I'm not a gold digger but I am 27 and I make roughly 70 a year and these days that is not alot of money but I work my *** off and I couldn't be with a man who makes way less than I do.I know it sounds harsh but after all this is just one of the many things that I'm bringing to the table.Meet me or beat me!!!

Jobs don't matter. It is the person who does the job. If u r nice, thats great, if u r a mean accountant, thats bad. but being an accountant doesn't matter. I wouldn't care if a guy was jobless. As long as he was caring/

I don't think it matters at all- I mean first impressions are everything but look at your you're 20 and you have a good job- thats a great first impression right there. I think that's all that matters. It would only matter if you were unemployed.

Those who judge someone by their job is just shallow. It should be on what you think of someone not on what they do. Sometimes it changes people's opinion, but if that's the case they aren't right for you anyway.

i work with accountants, my sister is one...no problem with the job, just don't talk numbers to me, i don't do numbers! if you have a great sense of humor and are fun to be with, that is pretty much all that matters...

nope. jobs dont really matter unless it takes up almost all of your time. cause then you wouldnt have time for us =]
the only job that would make me concerned is a mafia leader or something lol
