What is normal anyway? Is he healthy? Is he carrying excess fat, or is he muscle bound? Perhaps he should speak to a physician to determine whether his health is where it should be. Obviously you have a concern, because you asked. If you address small problems, they may not become big ones.

Depends actually. 312lbs of what? Muscle? Fat? Weights is not an accurate measure of a person's obesity since muscles weight more than fat.
Get a tape measure and measure his waist size. If his waist size is more than 34, then he is obese and need to lose weight.
Otherwise, he's fine.

You need to make an appointment with his Pediatrician to determine if there may be an underlying cause for his excessive weight and height. That is not normal for a 15 year old.

His height is a little high but it's still reasonable, but he is dangerously overweight. You and him BOTH need to talk with his pediatrician about this, he is obese.
