Early history of hospital can be dated back on ancient times where religion and medicine were linked together. It was known of being practiced by Egyptians in the temples as the place of giving treatments to the SICK.

Greek temples were also known to admit ill patients to wait for them to be treated by the healer-god named ASCLEPIUS who would wait guidance from the god through his dreams.His services had extended to Rome in 291 BC.

Obviously the unit for treatment that time functions as a single unit for all mixed up cases. As mentioned in the history, separate section of the "hospital" was built by Romans in 325 A.D. specifically for the LEPERS. The rest of the "departmental system" had been created with the improvements and progress of medicine.
