im 13 i want 2 pierce my lip but my mom says if u hit a vein u can bleed 2 death and die

A pierced lip would not be enough to make someone bleed out anyway. There's a thing called clotting that stops the blood leaving the body (not sure exactly-not a doctor). Anyway there is no vein in you lip as far as i know.
It could get badly infected though.

Ok, your mom is either trying to scare you or is mistaken. Your lip can bleed a lot. But you can't bleed to death through your lip. It would be really stupid of evolution to put a deadly bleeder so close to our teeth.
But I do want to warn you that if you pierce your lip, it IS an area very prone to infection so you would have to be very careful to make sure you care for it several times a day while it is healing. That's a big hassle, so you really have to want it. The other thing is that if you change your mind, you'll have a little scar on your face for the rest of your life. And everyone scars differently, so it might be very obvious or it might disappear depending on your skin.
Just, whatever you do, don't pierce it yourself! Seriously. There is too much flesh in the mouth to go doing it yourself without properly sterilized instruments. And I'm not being boring or trying to scare you for no reason. The human mouth is a cesspool of germs and if you pierce it yourself you are basically guaranteed an infection. The only question will be how MUCH of an infection. Now you are young so I am gonna guess that you have probably never had a serious infection, which can give you blood poisoning - which you CAN die from. And it's not that difficult to slip from mild infection to severe in a place as dirty as the mouth. My sister got bit by a cat with an infected tooth and within a week the infection was so bad that she had been hospitalized for two days when they almost had to amputate her entire arm to stop the infection from spreading to her heart. And that was from a hole smaller than the one you are talking about putting in your lip. So make sure a professional does it with sanitary conditions.
Sorry to talk so much but I wanted you to know as much as I could tell you since your mother is clearly not a knowledgeable source on this subject. So I'm glad you asked for some more informed opinions. Hopefully this was helpful.

Ok first, you will get a infection, so I advise you to mix salt with warm water and gargle on it, (if you do get an infection)
I've peirced my own lip and hit a vein, it doesn't hurt much but if it starts to swell then you should go see a doctor. If I was you, I would advise you to get it done professionally, i know i sound like an idiot because im your age and trust me i regret doing it, it leaves a scar on the outside of your lip and in the inside of your mouth it looks like a mouth blister. If you do do it yourself sterilise the needle/pin and stick it in the inside of your mouth so you know where your veins are and so you dont hit one. Good luck.

I've heard of peoples faces going completely numb, but that would be a nerve issue...Why don't you look up a tattoo artist or a piercing shop and ask them first hand.

You can't die from pericing your lip unless you do it wrong... if I would you go to a professional shop and once you get there ask if it's a new needle and you have to have your parent to go with you.,.... but I'm 17 now and I perice my lip when I was 13 and I didn't mess up but just go there... and I did that myself because I don't trust other people pericing my face because they can mess up too.... but don't do it by yourself I don't recommend it.... I have 7 pericings now

You're mom is 100% correct. Listen to her. Besides WHY in damnation do you want to pierce your lip? What loser has talked you into doing it? Are you just seeking to "be in with the crowd"? If they jump off the cliff will you follow just to be "in with the crowd". C'mon You're just old enough to clean your nose and now you're trying to make "life long" changes to your body? Grow up first. Learn from your Mom. Someday when you're 21 and on your own, you'll find the lip piercing that was so cool at 13 will keep you from getting decent jobs. Trust me, I know. I interview many previously cool trendies and pick those who were the "not so cool" ones because they look presentable in public.

Your mum is obviously lying to you so that you don't get it done. If you could die getting your lip pierced don't you think it would be illegal?

You don't really want to pierce your lip do you. Just think how ridiculous you will look and yes the lips do bleed a lot but not too sure about dieing from it though.
Think ahead before having a piercing

there is no VEIN in your lips - capillaries maybe, but you will bleed like a son of a b*tch and probably get in infection, which will cause them to have to amputate your lip, so you'll look like a bigger freak than if you just had the pierced lip
