Baking soda does whiten your teeth but maybe not as good as whitnening strips. You just get a box of baking soda get your toothbrush wet, dip your toothbrush in the box & brush your teeht like it is toothpaste. You still want to use toothpaste afterwards though, get the nasty taste out of your mouth.

Mix the baking soda with some hydrogen peroxide into a paste and apply it to the teeth and gums. Let sit for a few minutes then brush normally. Rinse any residue out with water.
Repeat every few days.
You'll get used to the taste, it's not bad.
