Oh.... well yes it is racist but people only say it because is easier than saying pakistani which sounds worse to be honest People should try not to use the word but theres so many words these days we cant say that if they were said to another person it would be okay.. Loads of people say it with good intentions and dont mean it. Tell your friend to stop saying it if it bothers you that much. x

If you're referring to "Paki" as short for "Pakistani," I have to say that the only other time I encountered it, it didn't seem to be racist but analogous to "Yank" for an American. (As an American, I find it slightly amusing to be called a Yank, because at home I'm definitely not a Yankee!) In any case, the acid test should be how Pakistanis feel about it. If they don't like the word, then don't use it unless you don't care about others' feelings and don't mind being offensive.

No...it may be sexist to some, but definately not racist [if the word you are talking about it the one I am] Calling a guy a prick is just like calling him an AH really, no worries :)

What's P***? If you are a Filipino, is it the tagalog equivalent of prostitute? It's really bad especially if the one telling you that knows what the word mean. It's not racist... maybe it is something personal... like, the person telling you that sees you in "bad light".

The word is actually spelled "pake" and it's a slang to describe someone of Chinese descent.
Is it racist? Depends on how your friend is using the word but it's not considered racist.

The term "PAKE" is Hawaiian pidgin referring to someone who is Chinese or frugal, or just plain cheap. I didn't make it up, just telling y'all, after living in Hawaii for 13 years. No worse than calling someone a Haole, Portagee or Rice Eye. Don't take it personal......
