Some people are down right nasty .People from America are almost always extremely polite and articulate the odd one is very rude .Why do the feel they have to be spiteful and let the lovely people from all across America down.

Yes i do agree that its not a place thing it just stands out more with Americans because they are usually the most polite people i have met.

Because they're cowards who think they can say these things without the possibility of being punched because they're not saying it face to face - hiding behind a computer! If you ask a question and someone is particularly rude, then block them from answering any more of your questions! Better still, tell them where to go! These people can be from any country - we get loads from the UK!
I asked a question a few weeks ago about when to tell my daughter about Santa not existing. It was a reasonable question with concern for her regarding bullying/ridicule because she is starting senior school in September. One ar**hole called me a psychopathic phycho - totally uncalled for and irrelevant to the question, so I replied with insults which eventually shut him up! I then blocked the idiot from answering any more of my questions - good riddance!

Some people are just cruel anyway, all countries get cursed by other countries anyway, thats life. But, some people dont mean to be it's just how to take them. And not all americans are nice same as other people from other countries. plus, americans give canadians alot of Sh** I And the english give the welsh alot of Sh** I dont see anyone complaining about that! Countrys are always incompetition with eachother.
Lovely people of america? I think not
We're all the same some nice some not so nice its not about the place they live its them.

Good question. However, I have lived in more than 20 States, I was stationed in Korea, Germany, and traveled through more than a dozen countries and found that people everywhere are "rude". Perhaps not intentionally, but just because they are all busy with their own lives.
In the situation you point out, some people think because they are "anonymous" they can do whatever they want.

The rude ones are rude because they are just plain unhappy with thier own lives - insecurities, I agree with someone from above plus they are hiding behind avatars and get to say what they normally could not. It's not a country thing though rude speaks a universal language

i don't know. if i have a not so nice answer i usually am very polite about it and offset it with some positive feed back. sometimes people ask very ignorant questions though. i havn't noticed the region of peoples rudeness, but i have gotten some very rude answers and didn't appreciate it.

It's like that everywhere. In ALL places, some people can be really nice and polite, and also in ALL places, there are those inconsiderate people who are just down right awful! There are good and bad people everywhere.

Sometimes nationality is obvious and at others not. i do not think you can categorise answers in that way. Spellings are sometimes a giveaway but I think nasty answers come from all nationalities
