Last time it happened was was 19 years ago - the summer between 6th and 7th grade -- we both went to different schools so she broke it off so she could get a boyfriend at the school she was going to attend.
We were both KIDS so it didn't affect me much, we are still acquaintances to this day.
Besides that 1 break up, I was always the one to break it off.
I had one 'mutual' break-up where when I went to break it off, I could tell she was glad.
But NONE of these were serious relationships.
I did things the RIGHT way.. I didn't get into a serious relationship UNTIL I met the RIGHT person. I didn't allow myself to have sex, shack up, or get too physical UNTIL I met my wife. -- So I hav a very uncomplicated past. Something I am proud of. I see a lot of my friends getting hurt by getting too involved with someone they know they aren't going to marry.
Since you are using the word "LEFT you" I'm assuming you aren't talking about merely breaking up, but leaving you after living together.
Can't help you there, other then to say, stastically, people who live together have LESS chance of staying married to that person then people who don't "shack-up" together.

I don't know really? I know what she said but it dosn't make sense especially as after taking a train to Italy she told me how much she missed me everyday, and could I come over, and when I finally did she didn't want to see me. Even though she had phoned me on the two days before because she was feeling lonely.
And then she met me one hour before I left Italy to tell me she loved me and always did and she wants to spend christmas with me.
Then 10 days later (two weeks ago) she phones me to tell me she slept with someone else after I left Italy. She followed this with an email saying 'I just want to forget you, and with this I wish you a merry christmas'.
So I guess she just used me eh? Because when the going got tough, she went.
Sort of made a mockery of the 2 years we had together!
Why do you think your ex left you?

A million reasons! We were both fed up, and we didn't get along at all anymore. He was just the one who had the guts to actually break it off- we were on and off for a good 6 months before it was finally over.

Her folks were not in fulll support of the relationship, all becos I was 5 years younger, and I was not ready for committments;that was back then in the University. It is been 6 years now,and I am happily married while she remains unmarried.

I left my last ex. We tried to make it work for way too long when we were incompatible. He was inconsiderate and disrespectful.

He had another woman. We had grown apart over many years. I was devastated at the time but, with hindsight, it was the right thing to happen. Long time ago; in fact 16 years.

Because he is addicted to the "new" love feeling and has admittedly never been in a relationship longer than 2 months.
