13 years old - she may be incontinent or have a UTI or possibly kidney issues. Please have her vet checked. Dogs can become senile, too.

Make sure you have cleaned the carpets really well and treated them with enzyme deodorizer for dogs (Petco). You must remove the odor. Even if you can't smell it, she can.

Take her out more often. Do not leave food down all day. Feed her 2 x a day and no snacks/treats other than maybe a hunk of raw carrot.

If all else fails, crate her when you are not home. At least it would be a smaller area to clean up.

well let me first say... yes older dogs will tend to have accidents in the house, but u should also think, has he ever really had accidents before? even though he is getting older, maybe u should get him checked by a vet, to see if there are any problems going on. im not trying to worry u, i would just like to say, that i had a lab that was 9 years old when he started having accidents in the house, (and he never ever did this before) we thought there must be sumthing wrong, we took him to the vet, and found out that he had cancer. he had a tumor in his butt! other then that, put some pllastic down on the floor

Start with a vet check to rule out ant medical reasons. A checkup with blood testing should not be a lot of money. It may be time to switch her dog food. More trips outside will help. Pay attention to the dog and learn her schedule. Most of the time these accidents happen at the same time of day.

At 13, it could be medical or 13 yrs of bad habits. You think the kitchen isn't big enough? Crates are smaller than kitchens and highly reccommended by breed clubs, rescues and other owners. Ask the Vet if there's a medical issue first, then go from there

older dogs sometimes need to go more often or can't control thier bodily functions. get a vet to check him out first. could be that he needs more walks. worst case scenerio is that it has to wear diapers and that can be a bit expensive - but start with the vet first.

you can buy training pad ( at a dollar store of $1) and let the dog go on that and once it is use to going on that move it outsides so it will get use to going outside. then once the dog is use to going outside stop with the training pads and your dogs will be house broken

Working with dogs for 4 years now....It's only going to get harder as she gets older but if u are willing to sacrifice , just take her outside every time she drinks or eats. It might be tough but she can't help it...Pee pads are also out there....and they also have dog diapers for senior dogs....or if she is urinating frequently or squats but nothing comes out then she might need vet assistance.. possible diabetes or urinary track infection.

Take her outside more often. Older dogs have trouble holding it in.
