Why or Why not?
Me, I don't believe in the same thing as my parents. Over the last years I've kind of gone on a roller coaster of religious beliefs. I was a Christian, an Atheist, I believed in Islam for awhile, Buddhism, ect. Just trying to find out what seemed right. Now I believe in a mix of Judaism, Catholicism, and Islam mixed in with some teaching of Buddhism and bits of Pagan & Wiccan beliefs (mostly nature stuff for those).
Well thats my answer to my question your turn. lol

No. My mom is a United Methodist, my dad was raised Baptist. I just grew up and what the Bible taught didn't jive with what I was learning about life and experiencing. I'm Wiccan now. And I really went straight to Wicca from Methodist. It seemed right from the get-go.

Nope, my parents are Christians and I am a Pagan. My daughter is trying to find her way, she is leaning towards being a Christian, but she still believes in magic (of course she is only 8). My hubby's parents were Jewish on one side and Catholic on the other. He is now an atheist.
Why don't I believe the same? All I can say is that my parents beliefs never felt comforting. I have found a comfort and am at peace.

My parents were Christian, so am I. But I didn't agree with the concept of denominationalism so I chose a group that believed we should just be Christians like they were in the New Testament. I haven't changed religions because I've never encountered Jesus anywhere else. I have faith Jesus died for all of us and that's what religion is about. I'm not being critical but it's not possible to be Jewish and Catholic at the same time. One believes in Jesus and one doesn't...not to mention the others in the mix. Your 'not-possible' explanation leads me to believe that you have no concept of faith or that this isn't a serious question but I answered it as if it was.

yes i do as did my parents and grandparents all the way from the time they stood on mount sinai and received the torah after the other nations turned it down. All roads lead to judaism if you think about it's just people are scared to admit it so they jump to other religions but since they can't take the fact that there is a god who rules over them they jump to atheism but deep down everyone knows that the jews are right that is why we are hated so much from jealousy

If asked, we would all probably respond with the same label. But I know we all have very different beliefs.
There is a good reason why I am not attempting to change my label...your situation is a good example on why I see it as a lost cause to attempt to do so.

How can you believe in more3 than one religion when all religions contradict every other one? All can be wrong but not all can be right. You need to choose one at a time.
