I really, really doubt that they'll put you in jail. Unless you get a letter in the mail that says you have a "bench warrant", they won't arrest you. And even if you get that letter, just go turn yourself in the next business day and they'll book you and release you. I guarantee if you go down there with the $$ to pay it, they will not arrest you- especially for a traffic ticket.

Go to the court house ASAP, go to the clerk's window and tell them what happened, if necessary they will make an appointment for you to see the judge, either way if this is for a traffic ticket I would HIGHLY recommend you at least submit a trial by written declaration, because if that fails you can always go before a judge and try again in person. Ask for traffic school if the Judge finds you guilty, which he probably will since they are all greedy *******.

Maybe. . . . .depends on your state. . . . they may just reschedule you. . .
your question doesn't give enough information
read the ticket carefully--what does it say are the consequences for not showing up (and WHY didn't you go!)
It may be time to get an attorney experienced in traffic court--and be prepared to pay him/her and the fine and court costs and. . . . local bar association may have referral, or just hang out at courthouse by courtroom you were to go to. . .
Best to meet problems head-on, take care of them and get them over and done with. . . . .create more worry, aggravation and additional costs by NOT taking care of them. . . .

No as a police dispatcher myself A lot of my friends ask that. As long as you appear in court and do all your told by them everything will be all good. If you fail to appear though a warrant will be put on you and the police will raid your home to get you and then you will go to jail.

once you probably did no longer instruct the decide positioned out a bench warrant to your arrest. in the event that they run you for the time of the NCI computer the arrest warrant will happen. Write a letter to the court docket in the jurisdiction wherein to procure the value ticket. deliver it to the attention of the site visitors Prosecutor. tell him the tale, which you left the country, and ask in case you will pay the high-quality by mail to confirm the project. do no longer point out something approximately coming back. basically say you want to confirm the project.

Not unless you pay it. Interest accrues on what you owe beginning the day after the ticket is due.
