Would this look nice?

Okay. My room has been the same since before I was born. It has yellow walls with a blue accent. I hate it. Omg it's so baby. I have added wall stickers, but it's still lame. Mom says I can repaint it any way I'd like. I just have to buy it. I am doing a room makeover!

About Me: I'm 14 and LOVE bright colors. Pink and Orange are awesome, but white needs to be included. I love my dogs and my mice, but don't want them in my room style. I'm loud and complicated.

My room: I have a bed that had a wood headboard. I need a bedskirt. I have a OLD end table for my laptop that will be replaced. I have a pink chair that is a mushroom chair STAYING. I have a white thing that I'm going to double stack as a tv stand and cover the top with fabric.


I am going to make my own curtains and blanket. I am going to get a through for my chair and make accent pillows. I learned to sew when I was 7 and am pretty good at it, so no fears. I'm getting closet beads. I have beige carpet in my room. <3

my daughter is 13 and has just redone her room. we bought the most amazing crazy hot pink, orange and white plumeria bed quilt. her room has bright canvases we painted ourselves in matching colors - just really modern big splashes of color on a white canvas. white goes really well with it all - paint your room a fresh, fresh white - then you can add whatever colors you like - she has hot pink curtains too - the fabric was cheap and it only cost about $20 to make them! we have beige carpet too. I know white sounds boring for your room - but it really makes it fresh and you can then change your color scheme anytime you want with giant artworks and bedlinen and curtains and pillows.

I will describe my room it my give you an idea.

The furniture is medium brown.
I have Ivory walls and dark pink curtains.
My bed skirt is the same color of the curtains and my sheets are a light pink. My quilt cover is ivory with circles in different colors mainly dark pink but also orange, pastel pink and a bit of maroon. I put lots of colorful pictures in the walls with orange frames. I also have some bed side tables with orange lamps. I have hard wood floors so I have orange rugs 4x6 on each side of the bed. To finish I have some maroon decorative pillow.
It might not be your style but it can give you an idea.

1] Suggest a print with pink, orange, and a little white for the bedding and windows. Add a white bedskirt.
2] add pillows in the pink, orange, and the print.
3] add flowers [ gerber daisies? ] in pink and orange in a vase or floral wreath/swag.
4] paint walls one of the print colors - pink, or do two pink and two white, two pink and two orange, or three pink and head of bed wall pink/orange/white stripes etc.
5] repeat some of the room colors in your artwork - try to frame all art in similar color and material - oak or walnut, brass or chrome, colored enamel.
6] repeat your colors in lamps/shades, vase, ornaments, flowerpot, candles/holders, so all furniture pieces have some of the colors.
