The Polish are NOT the worst drivers.

A Polish and a Russian drive one of the buses on the route I MUST use. And the Russian is a terrible driver, roughly every 5 minutes he does an emergency stop or goes over the kerb for no reason. When the Polish Guy is driving we can do the whole journey - in and out - WITHOUT a single emergency stop or going over the kerb.

You were misinformed. The worst drivers in Europe are Belgian.

There is some resentment against the Polish in UK. Mainly because they have the bad manners of turning up on time and working hard.

I am reluctant to hear a bad word said against the Poles - not because I am one, or married to one, but because I really can't fault them. Half a million civilians fought and died in WW II during the defence of Warsaw. There's passion. And most of them, irritatingly, have eyes as blue and brilliant as sapphires.

Maybe a lot of their women are too big. Too big for me, anyway.

Pick on someone else.

Try going to Italy for a weekend where red lights mean go faster and pedestrian crossings might as well not exist and when theres no room the cars get on to the pavements if only a British highway policeman was over there he'd have a happy field day with tickets!
-random thought, did you know they don't have working garbage men over there any more apparently they all went on strike like a year ago and just didn't come back...bags of garbage everywhere...

My mum told me that they had a Polish bus driver in Aberdeen who took his whole bus-load of passengers round to his mate's house to pick up a sofa and then round to his hew flat to drop it off before getting back to the bus route. Apparently it's OK in Poland to do that.
