heavy breathing with birds?

my conure is breathing heavy and noisy
and has been sneezing a lot.......does he have a cold or what

birds will often breath heavily to cool themselves. They have no sweat glands, and this is their workaround. If your bird is sick, it may be trying to stay cool and fight off infection.

sneezing a lot is not good. bring him to a vet. i don't know if it's a cold -- i'm not a vet -- i just have a pet bird just like you do!

breathing heavy after a good workout (out of shape bird) is one thing, sneezing a lot is another. everything i read says always bring the bird to a vet when the bird sneezes a lot.
