I have had this for about 2 years but is getting worse(or I am getting tired of it) I have always thought it was a sinus infection but antibiotics have not helped - neither have steriod sprays or typical sinus meds. Now that I have gone to the ENT, he doesnt think it is my sinus- I have had a CAT scan but have not received the results yet. He mentioned Neuralgia but my pain is usually limited to my cheek by my nose and is not a tingling shock like neuralgia. Any ideas???

Edit: CT scan just came back totally normal, good for me but bad for a diagnosis- I have been refered to a Neurologist-

Depending on the results of the CT Scan I would recommend getting another opinion now to see what they think could be going on even though neuralgia could still be a possibility. Another possibility for this pain could be something called a deviated septum (where a part of the nose is crooked).

I found out from someone that when the deviated septum occurs it can cause sinus pain to occur or make it feel like it's sinus related but isn't. I was told by an ENT that I had this problem and am going to consult another one after the first of the year to see if this could be causing some of the problems i have with my sinuses such as during the Spring.
