I was in the same situation 2 years ago. He sat at the head table, and I was at another table. Once dinner and the toasts are over though, you will be able to be with him the rest of the night. Just take it as a chance to get to meet new people.

The BRIDAL PARTY is a group distinct from the GUESTS .
If you are guest you will be seated with the other guests and enjoy their company .
The bridal party will be seated together at a head-table in proper order Bride and Groom in the center with ushers and grooms parents to the left and the brides attendants and parents to the right . After the presentations and speeches are made there may be dancing (the bride and groom first ) then the guests partake in the celebrations and the party begins .

When i was in this situation i was seated at the close friends table. It was mainly partners of the bridal party and a few other singles but after a short into we got along fine. We were all there to have fun and my now fiance had groomsman duties to attend to so i wasn't at his table.

Besides it's only really for when you are eating. Once the party starts and everyone is up dancing and moving about he'll be with you on the dancefloor or next to it at least!

That's the choice of the bride and groom. Some do a head table where just the bridal party sits and some have their bridal party at tables with their dates. You'll have to wait and see what the bride and groom choose, but don't worry, people don't spend too much time sitting at a wedding reception.

If the bridal party is sitting at the front table with the bride and groom, then all significant others sit at separate tables. Sometimes, though, the front table will only sit the bride and groom, in which case you will definitely get to sit together.

Usually, the bride and groom make the seating arrangements for the bridal party. Have your boyfriend ask where you will be. Most make arrangements for the guest of a member of the bridal party to be seated with them at the reception. Have fun.

If they have a Bridal table set up ,,,sorry you wont be able to sit with him.
I'm sure his friend has placed you with the other s/o's of the people in the wedding party.

The "bridal" party includes the bridesmaids, dear. I think you mean the "wedding" party.

Where you sit at the reception depends on how the bride and groom have decided to do the seating. If they have arranged seating with placecards, you'll have to sit where you're assigned. If they don't have arranged seating, you can sit where ever you want.

Do not expect to sit with him. It is unfortunate, but most brides and grooms have their wedding party sit with them at the head table and the wp's guests at another table. IMO this is rude and done so that the pictures look nice.

Have your bf ask ahead of time and get details on who you'll be seated with. Maybe you'll be lucky and find out that you get to sit with him, but if this is not the case you'll just have to grin and bear it...once the dancing starts it won't matter anyway.

That depends on how the bride and groom are setting up seating. To avoid that issue, we didn't have a head table with our entire bridal party sitting with us--we sat them accordingly with their dates. Ask your bf if he knows anything about it.
