A friend of mine got me a Playstation 2 for my birthday back in July. It was given to me in an unmarked box and everything and I was told it was refurbished. It works great I have been playing my games on it and everything but when I tried to watch an R rated dvd on it, it said that there were parental controls on it somehow and I couldn't watch it or I had to give some sort of password. I tried to mess with it and type in random numbers but I can't get past it. Is there anyway I could reset this parental control password so I can watch my dvds on it? Please help, thanks!

Try 7444 code. I think, this one resets it.

I don't think the PS2 is at fault - it's the DVD disc itself. I've have the same thing with some of my DVDs but I got my PS2 brand new. Try a different DVD to see if that works instead, just to make sure that it was just the disc.

The code is 1234...and to make is stop totally, look on Sony's website. I know there is a way to do it, but I don't really remember.
