Love The, honor Them, worship Them, write and perform rituals in Their honor...also seemingly small gestures. My husband always pours a bit of his beverage onto the ground as an offering before drinking any. I put fresh flowers on my altar to honor Them. If you want to honor a PARTICULAR God or Goddess, study Them and know what is sacred to Them, ie corn for Demeter, etc.

Yes all three, but also through who we are and the choices we make. I try to honor the divine in all that I do. I will feed my last fries to the little birds hopping around. I try to be kind to everyone I meet.
Ritual honoring is not something I do frequently but when I do it is usually on my days off because I tend to make it a whole day, detailed ritual.
I give offerings once or twice a week. I like to bless offerings of milk and honey, homemade bread and cookies, and little bits of twigs, petals, and leaves that "call" to me throughout the day, and offer them up as a gift. Then I leave them out side under my deck, returned to the earth from whence they came.
As for prayer, I pray throughout the day. I feel that communication between the One and I is not a door that closes when I am busy with other things. I like to see it as a open archway, through which the divine Lady and Lord can always hear me. When I want their attention I just have to "speak" louder.
Many people will tell you that you must do things a specific way when dealing with the deities, but this just isn't true. I allowed too many of my fellow Pagans to bring me down and make me feel like I was ignorant until one day I realized, none of them are there with me when I honor my Lords, so they do now know what is right for me.
It is good though to read books on the topic and get a general idea of what has been done in the past for honoring, just remember that there are NO rules when it comes to ones spirituality. How would you like to honor? Its is important to be yourself, because just being the best you posible is the greatest honor and gift to your creator.

In my unique, personal experience...
...the purpose of rituals, while they do honor one or more gods (and/or goddesses) out of necessity, is almost never performed for that sole purpose. Rituals are practiced to achieve a particular means, and includes the request of blessings from one or more gods particularly related to the desired end, and honors Him/Her/Them out of respect, but I have never performed a ritual that was designed to fulfill exclusively the worship of any god. Gods and goddesses do not request or require worship of any kind; They all have Their own things to concern Themselves with, and human devotion doesn't really assist Them or appease Them, so it's simply not necessary.
Offerings are a similar situation. The gods have no need or desire for them. Rituals, especially when performed in groups, are closed with cakes and wine (or muffins and juice, or biscuits and soda, whatever) which are also offered up spiritually to whatever gods were requested present at the preceding ritual, but it is simple hospitality, and an action of any good host/ess having invited guests, more so than sacrificial contribution.
Also, as far as my practice goes, the closest thing to prayer performed is ritual, which I've already gone over. Nothing more than particular specific requests for assistance but no pleading, begging, groveling, or active submission to any god is ever performed. The gods help me when appropriate, reasonable, and because I ask nicely; I am perfectly capable under my own power to manipulate the energy around me to my own desires, it's just nice to get a little help from an influential source now and again. The bottom line is, the gods require no display of subservience or outstanding sacrifice; offerings, prayer, and ritual designed for the sole purpose of honor, are moot as they are unnecessary and won't earn you any extra credit - the gods don't play favorites. I honor the gods as I honor close friends; we have a give and take relationship, each party gives and receives equally, but no one ever keeps score.

Speak highly of them, offer gifts on occasion (just because), don't ask for a lot of favors, etc. It's nothing fancy, but it's how I honor my gods.
