Okay, the besy way to fall asleep fast without drugs is to first off plan a bed-time.Next is to spend the whole day excerting as much physical energy as possible. For example:take the stairs instead of the elevator,if you have one get up and fetch things for your wife or kids, cook dinner, wash dishes any daily chores that you would normally let another do.Take a walk after dinner despite the weather.HILLS ARE GOOD.Have a set time of the day to read the newspaper but, either after lunch or before dinner.Three time daily you need to practice this breathing exercise that calms yor nerves and slows your heartbeat. You must have a quite environment when doing this or slow calm music like "simon and garfunkel"{the sounds of silence}whether you like the song or not try it it'll work and it'll grow on you.Sit up straight, take a deep breath in your nose and,let it out your mouth,[I mean deep breaths]keep repeating this throughout. In the nose deep as you can out the mouth.Stiffen your toes, feet, calves, thighs, stomach, hands, arms, chest, and neck.Keep breathing sowly in-hold-out.Then let each stiffened par relax but,do it one at a time. After you have completed this hold your breath to the count of 10.Repeat 3 times. This last technique also works for heart palpatations and high heart rate.Last before you go to bed get a book.Read at least 100 page,no less than 50.Before you read and are settling in to bed use your breathing and stiffining technique. This tme use shorter breaths as some time may deep breaths exposes parts of your lungs that you are not use to using and may drive your haert rate up.After you have read until you think you can sleep try reading 10 more pages. If your eyes start crossing or the words become blurry you are ready for the final step.Lay flat stiffen all parts of your body like a board. Then 1 at a time from your feet up release.slowly.Leaving everything un-released still tight release each body part one at a time.Take your time in doing this.IT WILL WORK IF YOU FOLLOW EVERYTHING IN MY POST.you just have to be willing to try.The most important things in this method is going out of your way throughout the day to exert energy and the stiff and release technique. If you find yourself tense or pissed off during the day use the holding your breath to 10 method. Also, what helps me is clearing my mind before I lay down to go to sleep and, while I am going through these motions thinking of only happy thoughts,or,places.Slow music, relaxing sounds like trickling water, sounds of nature, stuff like that.Boring movies, the history channel,or discovery channel is perfect but, nothing to interresting, horror, suspense or thrillers....They'll defeat the whole purpose.

Don't ever take the sleeping pills route!!

1. They will damage your liver big time and you can get into serious health problems.

2. You will get hooked up on them and you won't be able to have a normal life any more if you don't take your pills everyday.

The sleeping pills industry is damaging our health by capitalizing on our ignorance, and by distracting people from effective and natural ways to deal with this problem. I had been taking prescription sleep medications [Ambien] for over 5 years. It stopped working and I simply took more. Still did not work. Nights were very difficult - medication put me to sleep but I would wake up after 2–3 hours with a strong sympathetic response (fast pulse, pounding heartbeat, wide awake alert). It was a very difficult cycle to break. I was really in bad shape due to lack of sleep.

After years of struggling I was able to cure my insomnia naturally and pretty fast. I followed the Sleep Tracks sleep optimization program, here is their official web -site if you want to take a look: http://www.insomniacure.net
