Jesus is the most well documented and recorded person in the history of mankind. From religious texts of Jews, Muslims and Christians, he have been documented more than any other religious man in the history. In secular world, he has been mention on the Jewish, Arab, Greek, Roman, Egyption and African texts. We all believe Cleopatra existed from less than 10 thousand times less evidence than Jesus.

Suppose you just decided to believe in Jesus. I mean just arbitrarily. There are a lot of things we believe that we can't prove, that's just how belief is, right? I'm not saying you -do- or -should- believe in him, just suppose that you do.
You might not believe he was born of a virgin or resurrected after death. You might not believe he was God in a man's body. You only have to believe that he lived, and perhaps that he was very wise. A 'rabbi', meaning 'teacher'.
If you believed that, you might live in accordance with the precepts and principles he espoused. You know, love thy neighbor, the brotherhood of man, turn the other cheek, all that stuff.
If you did that, you might live a better life. You'd be happier, more at peace with the world, etc. etc. And if so, then it wouldn't really matter whether Jesus really existed or not in the first place.

Right on ME! Neither have any of the believers, nor any of those fictional character mentioned in the bible whom writers claim saw him or had a dream. We can know that Jesus never lived, and the he was a fictional composite character. This can be done by full research and great amount of time. Dog deeply in Josephus and Pliny the Younger and many more who wrote during the Roman Empire days. You have to trace family lineage thoroughly and make the connections to real and fictitious names. Many of the ancient Romans who wrote used many different names, and from this you can learn that Jesus was invented by the Romans and they wrote that fictional story.

Jesus or God?
You said Jesus - Sooooooooooooooooooo....
How do you know Christopher Columbus, Czar Nicoli II, Danial Webster, ............, are real?
When it comes to people in history, we generaly accept that they are real if we have historians who declare they are real/enough witneses. How do I know you are real?
Ok, Josephus and one other historian I cannot remember, from that time, wrote about Jesus being a real person.
Does that answer your question?
In history, seeing is not believing, trusting historians, is believing.

No question Jesus was real and lived and died as he believed. The rest of the story is difficult.

if seeing is believing then you must not see the air or anything else that the human eye is capable of seeing. Can you say it does not exist? No. The air is there just like God is, you cant see it, but you feel it.

Actually I do know Jesus. He works for my company.
Oh.... you mean the son of God? Damn I misunderstood the question.
I guess really I believe in Jesus as much as I believe in all other parts of history from that age. That is to say that I do not have much faith at all.

I don't know if Jesus was real. But I'd love to have had a discussion with his nonsensical self about justice and accountability.

Actually, believing is seeing.
Remember the Red Sea crossing? The people witnessed an incredible miracle. A wall of water on one side, a wall of water on the other. The wall collapsed on those that pursued them, and yet days later, they were worshiping Egyptian idols and claiming this man made idol delivered them.
Do not put the cart in front of the horse. Start by faith, and God will reveal Himself to you in due time.
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
If you insist that Jesus reveal Himself to you first before you will believe, He will hide Himself from you. This is God's way of winnowing that which is chaff from that which is wheat.
