If not religious, what was the motivation for the "one minute reflection"?

Generally, this came about because religious groups were thwarted in trying to establish a prayer break. They pulled back to just a "quiet time" so they could keep their foot in the door while still technically complying.

Who's RTE, and who labelled it religious. Do they call it a Reflection Break, or is that the name you call it by?

rte?
religious does not have to be a relion based thing - but depending on the country you're in, some places need to ahve a time for religious community time..
(schools need a daily time for religious reflection..)

Are there religious reasons behind the meditation? I'm just saying, sounds kind of suspicious.

'cos its a catholic country?

They never used to do that when I was there. Do they show any nice pictures, play music, or is it just a blank screen and silence for a minute?
