a contract for you. To be compromise to her/him. My daughter it is 8 yrs; and did a contract to her dad. demanding to spend more time with her and to take certain places. When I asked her why? she told it is because he dont keep his word. So by having him signing in he is obligate to do it. (I Wonder what she would do, if he dont do what is on the contract. would she get a lawyer too...)

Thanks in advance..

I talk to him about that he needs to spend time with her. He always tell me.. yes, i am going to. ALso that when he might want to do things with her is going to be too late. (then is going to be her, saying "I am dont have time right now. going") Because what you can is what you receive back.
About the lawyer a joke.

I say good for your daughter and yes let her take it to her father for him to sign. I also would suggest to you to tell your daughter to make a collage or scrap book of all the good times she wants with her father. Take pictures of her at the park and have her right under it Dad we could have had fun here. This was me when I was a baby you were there. Also anything of importance for her future, get picture of a girl doing a dance ricital and make up a caption, her grade 8 prom, her first boyfriend, her wedding day and at the end

Get her to say PLEASE DAD BE THERE I LOVE YOU. AND SIGN ON THE BOTTOM LINE.

I doubt that an 8 year old is going to be able to acquire the services of a lawyer to force her father to fulfill a contract she wrote out. But, if an 8 year old has been forced to write a contract so that her father will spend time with her...then all I can say is "shame on that father."

What a smart child! I'm sure you and her daddy are very proud of her. Hopefully this is a wake up call for daddy to realize his baby girl needs some of his love, affection and time. I know time flies by but maybe your husband could try a little harder to make time for your daughter even if it's one day or evening a week like sled riding, bike riding, play a board game, cuddle watching tv, etc... Most of us parents (myself included) need to spend more quality time with our children. None of us are perfect, time flies by fast and there's always things that we need to do but our children and family should be top priority! There only young once.

Well, she is obviously an intelligent child, but more important that signing the contract and the creativity she showed in coming up with it, is that she is clearly crying for attention.

Your husband needs to step up before his little girl gets to be a teenager and resents him for not giving her the attention she needs.

No, but I have a six year old "brain" too, and it does not surprise me I hope that Daddy pays attention. They are only young once, and the time where she does not want to be with her parents, but with friends is right around the corner.

How sad for that little girl that she needs to do this to get her fathers attention. This should be a big wake up call for her dad and if it is not, he is a terrible dad!

Nope, never heard of that before, but what a smart kid to come up with that. You have a future lawyer on your hands.
