It's as simple as calories in and calories out. Don't be confused on all this diet crap. A diet is never meant to last forever. Good eating is and you will lose wait if you do. Don't worry to much about carbs. Most carbs are good. So if you eat 2,000 calories a day (you must count them and look on those packages and boxes) you must get rid of all of them to stay the same weight. If you burn more you will lose weight. Thats it. Not very confusing is it? Now count how much you lose in the gym (Get into a could cardio rountine, walking, etc.). Also don't forget you lose calories not just in the gym. You also lose by taking those stairs instead of the elvator. Littel things during the day matter to. Once you are burning more than you eat.....the pounds will drift away, and you will feel so much better. Hope I helped. This helped me lose 30 pounds and I have never felt better in my whole life.

I've been eating all organic food for the past week or so and have already shed several pounds. Over Christmas break, I should be able to lose 15-20 total. I feel full all the time and have found all my cravings for junk food/soda/etc. have vanished. I really encourage you to eat all natural foods/organic foods. It helps more than anything. And of course don't forget to drink plenty of water and include at least half an hour of exercise in your daily routine.

I am a nutritionist! Here are the tips I tell my clients
Drink Iced Water

Two litres a day minimum. Water has to be iced as the body will burn 100 calories just heating the water to normal body temperature. Also hunger pangs are very often thirst pangs, so this will help you stop over eating.

Add lemon to flavour if you wish and gain the added benefit of cleansing your liver at the same time.

Water also helps your body metabolize stored fat by helping the kidneys flush waste quicker. When you don’t drink enough water the liver needs to help the kidneys perform this function. When the liver has to help the kidneys its normal function of providing stored fat for energy is slowed down.

Green tea

Drink 5 cups a day. Research shows this can burn a massive 80 calories a day! It is believed the antioxidant catechins in green tea boost the metabolism and help burn fat.

Chilli sauce & mustard

These foods increase your calorie burning capacity by between 5 – 10% for up to 2 hours after eating. This is because they contain capsaicin which speeds the metabolism, so if you enjoy hot food your in luck!

Low fat diary foods

Can increase fat burning in the abdominal area. Why? Because these foods are rich in calcium which encourages the release of fat from fat cells and also reduces the amount of fat absorbed.

Eat Fibre

Eating fiber foods to help keep things moving through your bowel as stated above and makes you feel full.

The average person can lose 9-10 pounds in one year just from doubling their fiber intake aim for 25grams per day ( the average for most adults is just 8grams ) fiber rich foods include strawberries, apples, brown rice, chick peas, potatoes ( with skins ) and brown rice.

The above tips should be incorporated into a sensible diet and they will enhance it and help you lose weight fast.

Good luck- I hope I helped.

Loosing weight is very simple and can be explained by this simple diagram.

(Calories IN) < (Calories BURNED)

You must burn more energy every day than what you put into your body, and you will lose weight. How you do this is completely up to you and will depend upon your habits. Losing weight is also like any sport, it is all in your head. Having spent every day of life since I was 10 years old trying to lose weight, and having tried nearly everything out there, I have just now at the age of 20 begun to lose weight.

I achieved this because all my life it seemed the harder I tried to lose weight, the more I gained, the more I hated myself, my body the lower and lower my self-esteem got, until I hit rock bottom, I suffer from Clinical Depression now, but I completely gave up trying to lose weight and only now am I seeing results. They are slow, but I am losing weight without putting in half as much effort as I had all my life.

I stick by some simple rules, rules which I stick to because what I eat affects how I feel and when I follow these rules I feel much better.

- Drink lots of water everyday, either plain water or green tea with no sugar.
- NO SODA
- Juice. Only organic all natural Orange Juice or Cranberry Juice watered down and only one glass a day.
- NO FAST FOOD... EVER. If it takes less than 20min to make your food, its fast food.
- NO MICROWAVABLE FOODS, if it cooks in the microwave it should not be in your body.
- Replace Milk with ORGANIC SOYMILK, one tall glass a day or mixed with some ORGANIC granola type cereal for breakfast.
- Avoid red meat, Chicken and Turkey or Fish, cooked on a skillet with little olive oil and some simple seasoning, portions are important.
- Salad with every dinner. Plain salad with garlic and onions, NO DRESSING, only oil and vinegar, salt and pepper. Must eat more salad than meat.
- Veggies, lots of them, fresh fruits...
- Do not eat after 6pm.
There are more but I can't think of them all right now.

You would be amazed if you saw how little your body actually needs to maintain its weight. I have done this and have lost all of my weight that way. Don't think of it as starving yourself, you will fail every time just as I did. Think of it rather as... you don't want to eat so much that you feel full. I have convinced myself that I do not like to feel full, and indeed I don't. So when I eat I eat very little, I never feel full, but I still feel satisfied. Believe me this is hard, especially if your stomach is already stretched out, so it will be hard for a while but then your body adjusts and you feel fine. The key is to drink ALOT during those first few days.

The truth is nobody can tell you how to do this, you're gonna have to figure it out on your own, just like I did and everyone else. Its not hard, if you understand that things have to change in your head before they change on the outside.

-Exercise. If you burn 700 calories per work out and work out five days per week, that's a guaranteed pound right there. You can burn about 700 calories by running, swimming, working out on an elliptical, jumping rope, or rollerblading for an hour.
-Eat healthy. If you eat 500 calories less per day than you burn, then that's another pound per week. Find out how many calories you burn per day, then keep a food journal.
-Drink lots of water. Aim for eight glasses!!

I used this website http://walking.about.com/cs/calories/l/blcalcalc.htm
and put in the info you gave (assuming you exercise for about an hour for five days a week) and it said you burn about 3600 cals a day. So, if you eat 2500 a day, then you should lose two pounds a week from eating less and one pound from exercising for a total of 3 pounds a week.

EATING TIPS:
-Eat a good healthy breakfast. Have some whole grain cereal or toast, some milk or yogurt, some lean protein like ham, eggs, or chicken, and some fruit.
-Snack on fruits, veggies, nuts, yogurt, low fat granola, etc.
-Drink water, or flavored water instead of pop and juice. Try to avoid diet pop.
-Try to replace fatty condiments, etc. with lower fat ones. Try low fat mayo, sour cream, cream cheese, dressing, margarine, etc. Also eat low fat yogurt, milk, etc.
-Keep a food journal and record everything you eat and the calories that are in it. Sparkteens.com is a great site for doing that.

EXERCISE TIPS
-Find something you like doing. You will be less likely to stick to something you hate.
-Do your exercise with someone else.
-Listen to music while you exercise.
-Set goals for yourself.
-Change your activities often.

Good luck!

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

in case you're no longer on drugs on your thyroid you may desire to be. in case you're then it needs to get replaced. Stuffing your self and starving your self will decrease to rubble your metabolism and make you earnings weight (sure, starving your self will long term make you earnings). you may desire to have primary nutrients. a great way is to have 6 small nutrients/snacks as a replace of three super ones, as this provides the metabolism extra of a strengthen. be sure you p.c.. healthful meals, no longer too many stodgy issues like bread or potato or pasta. On precise of that exercising a minimum of half-hour on a minimum of three days each and every week. Do all that and you will shed pounds. in case you do no longer lose any doing this then you somewhat would desire to pass to the docs.

well you can try all the diets you want, but the main focus you need is to stay away from fatty foods : burgers, fries and the dreaded coke most of all.
Then try to walk for at least 30 minutes every day. The body needs to 'work' off the calories and any form of movement simply like walking is wonderful for starters.
good luck !

Practice eating smaller portions. Find a container that you know the size of, and try eating just enough, and slow enough to feel barely full. Then, see how long you can go until you really "need" to eat again. Adjust your eating habits accordingly, then start slowly cutting back on fats and oils in those eating events. :)
